    Mother is sick every night

Nancy - I have been banded since October 06. I have had 2 fills and I throw up often also. I am a pharmacist, so, I am always worried about developing an eating disorder. I can relate EXACTLY to what your mother is going through. She enjoys food; so she eats; she realizes she has eaten too much and it starts to hurt ..... it is easy to throw up .... the food is not gross when it is thrown up .... so, it's no biggie! I can then go back and eat the rest of my meal. She needs to chill out and find another way to express her grief! If she wants to talk to me about throwing up a lot have her email me at rosehickson@yahoo.com I am 41 years old and I would understand.

    Cheeseburgers???

I was banded on 10/30/06 and I can eat a cheeseburger without a problem.... if I chew slow and eat in moderation - I have no problems with any food groups - You will get there ... be patient my friend - It gets MUCH easier!

    help i'm starving

Hang in there ... it gets much easier. I was banded on Halloween of 06 and thought I was going to die with just the liquids ... I started eating some thicker liquids and did just fine. I have lost 50 pounds - Christmas slowed my weight loss down tremendously - lots of cheating on my part. I ate yogurt, pudding, cream of wheat, oatmeal :hungry: and jello within 2 days of my surgery. You will just have to try SMALL amounts to see what you can tolerate. You do NOT want to overeat and vomit - that hurts at your stage in the pouch game! Eat small amount VERY SLOWLY and chill out - you are going to love your pouch - give yourself a chance to adjust!
