There is a really tasty vitamin called Isotonix, its a powder that you mix with water and it tastes like citrus. I was not a believer but let me tell you, its a great vitamin that you don't have to take with food, they prefer you take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and its awesome! You can talk to my person who is Karen Bambas you can reach her at her e-mail address of: Karen Bambas [fusionlady1@hotmail.com is her e-mail address. She can then talk to you about it and what it can do. She offeres a variety of things and trust me, its awesome! I hope this helps!

i am so confused this week. Last Monday I went in for a checkup/fill. Things were starting to FINALLY get stuck and I was feeling full....well doctor said he was going to give me 1/2 cc and to be honest, now I am back to how I was before, meaning nothing is getting stuck and I am back to eating anything again. I gained like 3 lbs over Thanksgiving and I can't understand why this happened. Its like he took some out rather than putting anything in. Has anyone else gone though this issue? I am just so frustrated at this point that I am watching every single thing that goes in my mouth.

I am finding I can not open the link at work...I am down 1 pound this week but I feel as if I am getting closer to my 'sweet spot' with the band! Its a slow process but at least I am losing and not gaining! I just wanted to share a funny from my doctor the other day.....usually when you go to the doctor just before a holiday they say "Don't eat too much" Well, on Monday my doctor's comment was "Don't get anything stuck"! LOL My how life changes when you are banded! LOL Enjoy your Thanksgiving everyone!

I am not eating as I should either but I try to make the better choices. I think once the doctor told me in week 3 not to have any more protein shakes for breakfast, it threw me off...I love them and I was losing weight then....does it really matter if you are having them? I guess I don't see the difference.....anyway, I do walk but feel that I need more exercise and am hoping that my life will slow down a bit so I can get back to the gym full time agian! Good Luck to everyone!

Woo-Hoo, finally got the link to work!!!!!!! You are all doing such a great job! Anyone wanna share how they are losing 3+ lbs a week? What types of things are you eating? Are you doing shakes or other 'slider' items? I would love to know!

For some reason it is not working for me. I will try at home later....its not even like my company is blocking it, it just tells me there was an error....very odd.

I can't get onto the spreadsheet....its giving me an error....all I did was click the link....is something wrong with it?
-
If anyone of you didn't lose weight this week, are you frustrated with it or is this something that just happens? I was told yesterday that maybe I am just not eating enough but I don't know that I know what 'enough' is. Any advice would help! Thanks!

You made a good choice, you were sociable and chose wisely....you did what any of us probably would have done. This is a lifestyle change, it is not about giving up every bad thing for you, its more about everything in moderation. -
This will be my first challenge as well! I am really excited to get motiviated and either meet or exceed my goal!

Betsy: I am right there with you! I really people could understand that no everyone is built the same way....how was this woman 'obessed with being thin' Did someone tell her she was a chunky kid or something...and now here she is making young girls feel the same way....hum....one disorder for another? So rude of this horrible woman!

This just in: CNN posted the comments of the writer/creator of Mike and Molly! 'Mike & Molly' creator reacts to Marie Claire controversy – The Marquee Blog - CNN.com Blogs

This article was talked about on the cnn website...it was pretty darn funny that they brought up the whole Mike and Molly show and about them having sex....some of the comments were so stupid....things being said like "I don't want to see 2 fat people having sex on tv"....oh but its ok to give our kids body images that are mostly unattainable by the majority of the people in this world huh? Then we get upset when our kids are worried about being fat when they are 5 years old! I was a lucky kid, I was no overweight until I got older and had a baby later in life...however, even thought I was 'thinner' when I was younger, I still had a very low self esttem because I was never thin enough....it was a very trying time for me...well now this is MY time and when I get back to a comfortable weight, if people don't like it...too damn bad, I am going to live my life and enjoy the rest of the life that I have left. If one thing this past year has taught me is that you will never make anyone 100% happy with who you are, if its not weight it will be something else and when you really look into it, its usually a problem with them! Go out, enjoy your life, we are all on the right track, we are banded and we are fighters and we will be the ones that win in the end! (Sorry, I will get off of my soap box now!)

When do you actually start to feel the 'fills'?
CaraRose replied to CaraRose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you all so much! I am not wishing to get things stuck, I am just wanting to feel the full level much sooner than I am feeling it now! Hopefully I will feel it in the next few days! I appreciate all of your comments! -
When do you actually start to feel the 'fills'?
CaraRose posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
:confused:I am just wondering how the fills work. I was banded on July 21st, had my first fill 6 weeks later and then another a month later....I had my 3rd fill yesterday so now I have 4 cc's in a 11 cc band. Can I just tell you that I can still eat whatever I want...nothing gets stuck, nothing hurts, not throwing up, nothing. When you get filled, do you feel that fill right away or does it take a few days to 'settle'? I feel as if the band is just not tight enough but the doctor thinks I should be feeling something.....I didn't lose any weight last time around so now I am starting to worry....Any help would be much appreciated!!!!! -
When do you actually start to feel the 'fills'?
CaraRose replied to CaraRose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wonder how they decide what amount to give a person for their fills...what is it really based on? My doctor made it seem like 4cc's was a large amount...now I feel like a freak that I don't feel much of anything. -
So what exactly DOES good restriction feel like?
CaraRose replied to OneYearLater's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we all feel the same way as this post at one point and I am no different. I have had 2 fills and I am still waiting to feel the 'bubbles' when you drink something carbonated..that doesn't happen, nothing gets 'stuck' and I feel like I can eat more than I should. I have 3 cc's in an 11 cc band...I just feel like its not enough. I go back on the 25th for another fill but part of me wants him to give me more than the standard 1.5 cc's per fill...I just want to be tighter rather than loose because I feel like I am failing at this as I have not lost any weight this past 3 weeks and was losing at least 1 lb a week for all the others. Whats the secret? I know everyone is different but really, how do you find the secret to to your own success with the band? -
I was wondering how you were doing. I guess all of us that got banded around the same time didn't really keep in touch. I hope you are feeling well and losing weight the way you want to!
Take Care,
Caroline

What if i never what up?
CaraRose replied to zeniada's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same fears. I had a bad experience in January when I had surgery on my foot so I was afraid of it repeating itself. To be honest, I was ready to back out of doing it all together....however, I went through it and thought well, if I don't do this I could die within a few years because of the other health issues I have. I went through with the surgery and was so glad I did.....I didn't have any problems waking up and everything went well. You just need to put your trust into God's hands as well as your doctor and know they are there to do the best they can for you...they are not in the business to lose patients. You will do great! At the end of it all, you will be very happy that you did! Good Luck to you! -
I had my banding done on July 21st and my post op on the 2nd. When I went in for my post-op, I had lost 6 lbs since surgery. Right now I am stuck and have not lost any weight. I am walking but not as much as I can or should be and I am sure that is part of the problem. However, can someone please tell me if you went through any type of emotional 'depression' or just different emotions or is this all just me? Also, I can pass gas but having a very difficult time having a bm. Please tell me that others of you hace gone through the same thing. Any comments would be helpful! Oh, let me add that I just came back to work on Monday and have not done the same things here as I was doing at home as far as my schedule of drinking Water or eating the same foods, its much harder when working to fit things in. I am just exhausted by the end of the day.
