Hey Nikki! Congratulations on your upcoming banding! "Sliming" is literally that.. sliming.. basically when something gets "stuck" because of restriction, your body will naturally begin to water/lubricate your esophagus to move the food through, but because it's stuck and doesn't have anywhere to go it'll come up. Just thick saliva, think of the nauseous feeling you get just before throwing up the wanting to spit feeling, but not the tickling/sting that comes just before the actual act.. that's sliming.
The sweet spot - is the PERFECT restriction level where you're able to lose lose lose without losing restriction or wanting to overeat. I'm currently experiencing this YAY!
PB'ing is productive burping- burping that comes when you've eating too fast or too much, that helps relieve the pressure/stuck feeling.
