I had to go back to my dr. after four week from surgery. He told me then to eat whatever I wanted, till I come back for my first fill, so he could get some idea if there was any restriction already. I hadn't lost any weight and he did my first fill. I am eating the right kind of foods now, but still am not losing lbs, and don't feel any restriction. I guess it just works differently for everyone. And of course I can't be one of the lucky ones that starts losing right from the start. I too, feel like I never had the procedure done, although I am eating healthier. I paid for this myself, so I need to be patient and stay on the right track. But I definately need the band help, as I'm not good on my own

My second fill and feel no difference
baileynboo replied to rpm2010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like I could have written the previous quote, except for the fact that I would love to have lost 20 lbs,,I lost 2, yes 2. and I am so sad -
please tell me how you are doing,,I had my first fill on July 17, and I have lost two lbs,,,yes TWO pounds, I am so down and out, I feel no restriction, I try to eat all the right stuff, and less of it, and I am starving all the time. I feel like I am doing this just like I always did, by myself and not very well. I know there is no restriction, cause I can feel the food going through if I don't chew enough once in a while. I am hoping this will change after the next fill, (Tuesday). I started this all 10 weeks ago, and am at the starting gate yet.

411 REQUESTED: for weeks 1 through 1st fill
baileynboo replied to avargas18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, mu surgery was done on the 9th of june, and went just fine,,,my doc told me to eat what I wanted after my first check up at 4 weeks, I felt no restriction but did have some cramping when I didn't chew enough. My first fill was July 15th and must say, I don't feel much different. I aam careful about what I am eating, but am surprised at how much I can eat. So I guess I'm trying to not eat so much and in turn am probably stopping before I am full, and then feel hungry again within 2 hrs or so, My next fill isn't until August 17th, so I guess this will be a test of my will power till then, I had envisioned eating about 1/4 cup of food, feeling utterly satisfied, and the lbs just melting away. HELLO,,NOT GONNA HAPPEN. If you would like to talk back and forth, I would love it. I live in North Carolina, my name is Nancy and my e mail is baileynboo@yahoo.com I think it would be fun to take this road with someone to compare ideas, and cry on your shoulder, let me know,,,thanks -
I had mine done on the 7th of June, My first fill will be thursday and I am anxious to get going, but in the last week or so I started having this achey feeling in my upper back, as if I lifted was too much. On some of the info sites it says that in some cases gas, from the anesthesia gets trapped and takes a while to get out of the abdominal cavity, I sure hope that is what it is, because I am so uncomfortable. Have you heard of this, or had any problems?
