  4. It's hard but then it's not hard.. You have to ask yourself how bad do you want this....If food can still go through easily, than think of something you can eat that is low in fat, sugar carbs.... Such as sugar free icream-cream, sugar free pudding with a tablespoon of cool whip...I cup of mash potatoes with boil chicken....Boost or Glucerna drinks.. You can also go on this website for lapband people..www.realizemysuccess.com they have lots and lots of good food...Also do things around the house, create projects that never existed before. Call a friend that is into workingout even though they didn't get the band done....Try not to eat bread, white noodles and rice (even though the bread is whole grain, it's still bread) maybe once a week. Think of you fighting for you like you have never stood up and fought for you in your while life.... . Good luck! Please keep me posted.

    I need help

I had to go back to my dr. after four week from surgery. He told me then to eat whatever I wanted, till I come back for my first fill, so he could get some idea if there was any restriction already. I hadn't lost any weight and he did my first fill. I am eating the right kind of foods now, but still am not losing lbs, and don't feel any restriction. I guess it just works differently for everyone. And of course I can't be one of the lucky ones that starts losing right from the start. I too, feel like I never had the procedure done, although I am eating healthier. I paid for this myself, so I need to be patient and stay on the right track. But I definately need the band help, as I'm not good on my own
  6. It sounds like I could have written the previous quote, except for the fact that I would love to have lost 20 lbs,,I lost 2, yes 2. and I am so sad

    filled

please tell me how you are doing,,I had my first fill on July 17, and I have lost two lbs,,,yes TWO pounds, I am so down and out, I feel no restriction, I try to eat all the right stuff, and less of it, and I am starving all the time. I feel like I am doing this just like I always did, by myself and not very well. I know there is no restriction, cause I can feel the food going through if I don't chew enough once in a while. I am hoping this will change after the next fill, (Tuesday). I started this all 10 weeks ago, and am at the starting gate yet.
  8. Hi, mu surgery was done on the 9th of june, and went just fine,,,my doc told me to eat what I wanted after my first check up at 4 weeks, I felt no restriction but did have some cramping when I didn't chew enough. My first fill was July 15th and must say, I don't feel much different. I aam careful about what I am eating, but am surprised at how much I can eat. So I guess I'm trying to not eat so much and in turn am probably stopping before I am full, and then feel hungry again within 2 hrs or so, My next fill isn't until August 17th, so I guess this will be a test of my will power till then, I had envisioned eating about 1/4 cup of food, feeling utterly satisfied, and the lbs just melting away. HELLO,,NOT GONNA HAPPEN. If you would like to talk back and forth, I would love it. I live in North Carolina, my name is Nancy and my e mail is baileynboo@yahoo.com I think it would be fun to take this road with someone to compare ideas, and cry on your shoulder, let me know,,,thanks

    Starting to get hungry

I had mine done on the 7th of June, My first fill will be thursday and I am anxious to get going, but in the last week or so I started having this achey feeling in my upper back, as if I lifted was too much. On some of the info sites it says that in some cases gas, from the anesthesia gets trapped and takes a while to get out of the abdominal cavity, I sure hope that is what it is, because I am so uncomfortable. Have you heard of this, or had any problems?
