I have been overweight since I was in elementary school. I have struggled with many diets and programs. I am 33 years old now and I am at my witt's end with my weight. I am tired of always being the spectator when we go on family vacations. I am tired of not being able to go buy clothes that I may need. I am tired of my 6 year old letting me know I am fat. I have done nothing but get bigger. I tried Phentermine back in 2008 and seen the best results. I lost around 50 pounds. WOW!!! I was feeling good, exercising daily and went from a size 28 to a size 24. The side effects from the medication led me to stop taking it and therefore I have gained all but 15 pounds back. I am a size 26 now. Back in March I went to my primary doctor because of my weight. I was starting to not want to go in public anymore than I had to. This is not a good thing as I am a Social Worker and work in the community daily. She suggested weight loss surgery as well as the Atkins diet which I had never tried. I gave it a whirl and lost 14 pounds. I have a gained all but 6 back now. I am wanting to be healthier. I am tired of this! I am even going to go back and get my Master's next fall so that I can change careers as social work has been detrimental to my weight.
