I have been on many diets throughout my lifetime and have always gained back the weight I have lost plus some extra I found along the way.  I have found myself feeling tired, having painful joints and just becoming all around unhealthy as I have gotten older.   My daughter came to me last year and was talking about having lap band surgery for herself so I checked into it.  I decided that this was meant to be for me and contact my insurance company to see what the next steps would be.  I have now finished all of the tests - gotten approval from my insurance and am scheduled to have my surgery in less than a week.  I admit, I am rather anxious, but after reading some of your stories and seeing how much weight has been lost - I am very ready to move forward.
