I've been over weight my entire life it seems. It's been a roller coaster ride trying to lose and regain every time. The most I lost was 13 years ago doing Weight Watchers. At that time the program was pretty simple; portion control. Since then they've complicated things by making you look at every fat, fiber and convert this to a point system. I'm a very busy person with my work life and don't have time for this.I injured my back in Iraq in March 2008. Since then I have not been able to exercise the way I used to because of constant pain. In the last 2 years I've put on about 30 lbs. I've worked with a neurologist and back doctor but all the give me is pills. I decided to do the lap-band surgery not only for my back but to stop taking blood pressure pills nd cholesterol medication. My journey begins on 4 August; more to come.Karen Renée8/8/10 Had my Surgery on the 4th. Weigh in was 194 - Now 190. The gas is killing my chest and shoulder. Had a temp with weekend but seems to have gone done. Trying to keep up with the required protein and liquids. My stomach is actualy grumbling; go away. Need to get some sugerfree popsicles (other than fudge).3 weeks after surgery down to 185. Started walking on the treadmill for 1/2 hour this weekend. Also like doing the WII fit. Found Strawberry Weight watchers popsicles (2 for 120 cal). Awesome. Challenge... Next week I have to go out of town for work; God give me strengh. What I get a fill on the 26th ;o)
