That Dr. should be reported! If he works in a private clinic it will do no good to go to the manager but if he is in a hospital system one phone call to administration will get you a response! Maybe if you explain the situation to the nurse of the new Dr he will waive his fee? The receptionists usually don't care to pass the info along but the nurse will sometimes. If he is this horrid to you I can guarantee you are not the first to complain about his bedside manner! Wow. What an ass Good luck on your next appt and I hope he has a better attittude towards you. You are doing fantastic and please don't listen to his negative attitude!

Hey guys, I had mine on 7/22, do you have room for another person? I don't know if it's just me but today I am STARVING! I won't eat anything of course but broth just isn't cutting it today. Anyone else going through that?

Well, I got banded yesterday!! I was so nervous by the time they wheeled me back to holding that I was crying, what a dork! They gave me some happy juice and I barely remember the rest except for waking up in recovery. I did end up staying over night because my heart rate was acting up, I had a couple of palpatations and then everytime I dozed off my pulse ox went down to 80 (should be 90 and up) and set off alarms. But I had an EKG and it was normal so I don't know what was going on. I was fine after the morphine and anesthesia wore off so maybe that's all it was. Gas pain is hardly there at all, it hurt last night but I snuck in my Gas X strips and took them, they REALLY helped! Good luck to everyone who's surgery is coming up! It feels so good to be done with it!!

I hear ya! I'm having it done on Thursday. Today was my pre-admission appt and it seems all very real right now. Next week is coming up fast! You'll do great and just think, this time next week it will all be over and you'll be starting the next chapter of your life. It will be your new birthday!

Ugh, I'm holding at 6 pounds still. I don't see how!! I have had 2 handfuls of popcorn over the week but I can't imagine that would cause me to stop losing. I am so glad to have a couple of people to share with- what an awesome idea! Next week is coming up so fast and now that it's almost here I'm getting pretty nervous. It doesn't help that the following Monday and Tuesday I have finals and my nursing pinning ceremony on Wednesday which is in front of 300 people. No stress at all :sad:

I'm having the surgery on the 22nd also! I had to start my liquid diet last Thurs. It stinks but I've lost 6 pounds so far. What kind of meal replacement are you drinking?

Aww man, I have to do 2 full weeks of liquid only diet. I feel robbed! :confused: I just approved and have a surgery date of July 22. Good luck everyone!
