I have been obese since the age of five. I went on my first diet at age eleven. It is an ongoing struggle. My most successful weight loss was on the ephedra pills with exercise six days a week; a total of 50 pounds. I worked so hard to maintain it but gained it all back. I have tried Weight Watchers, liquid diets, Zenical (aka Alli) and nothing has seemed to work. My weight issues frustrates me to no avail. Several years ago, tried to get approved for a gastric bypass but I was told that although I was more than 100 pounds overweight, I would not be approved because my BMI was less than 40 (39.3) and I had no co morbidities (why would I want to have any if I did not and still do not). I eat right most of the time and try to work out three times a week but the scale just doesn't budge. I feel like I am destined to be a fat lady my whole life. I just don't know what to do anymore. I plan on looking into the lap band procedure. I have GHI PPO. If anyone knows if they approve lap bands please PM me. Thank you for reading my profile.
