Hi Shesha, Boy! Fox Park really brings back some memories! We used to go up there for the day when my 2 older boys were little, it's been a really long time because they are now 23 and 25, I started really young ;)haha, lol. Did you tent it or do you have a camper? It sounds fun, I can't believe that I've been off of work all summer and I have'nt even gone for a walk! I need to get off my f_t a_s and do something, I know that I have to get moving to be able to get and stay near my goal.(someday) Anyhow I'm happy to hear that your band is working again:clap2:I finally am filled to 2.5cc's and have some restriction now. Every once in awhile I get stuck and slime but never throw up, I always tease that my body would never give up the food! Same thing with all my pregnancies, I would get nausiated but never get sick. Sorry I just ramble and have a hard time writing my thoughts, Take Care, Sunnysea -

Woofay, I'm so sorry to hear about your leak, I wonder if it is in the tubing leading up to the band or in the band? i'm guessing that the tubing leading up to the band gets poked accidentaly when the Dr. does a fill?!?!? Anyhow, you have done WONDERFUL so far, 44 lbs in 4 months is really good. I know how hard it is when the weightloss slows down, I finally after 2 months have lost 2 lbs but when you look at the whole picture and divide 44 by 4 that is pretty dam good! Remember eventually the loss will be more like 1 or 2 lbs a week. So be good to yourself and I hope your repair will be soon. Your in the North Woods Friend, Sunnysea -
Hi, Well my last fill that I had was on July 24th and I finally feel some restriction. It has gotten tighter this week, could the hot weather make a differance? I sure am loving it though! I haven't lost anything for the last 2 months. Sunnysea

Mal, I am so sorry to hear about your pooch, that has to be really hard being unexpected, it's hard enough when they get old. I once wrecked a whole new years day being depressed about a dead hampster that we had just gotten! I am happy for you that you have a new pup that needed a home just like yours to give it love. Take Care, Sunnysea:hug: -

:)DynamoMini, We have something else in common(Shihtzu Pups)! We have had many breeds of dogs over the years but I have never been as smitten in love as I am with my black+white little girl Chloe. We also have a yellow labador and a chiwawa which I love also. We call ourselves dumb+dumber my husband being the dumber one (no, just kidding!) because we never know when to say no to adding a new dog to our home over the years. Oh well, talk to you later. Buy the way what in the world is a swamp cooler???? Sunnysea -

Woofay,:) Glad you're feeling better, it's a terrible feeling isn't it! His method with filling until you gurgle, funnel feeling, or just can't drink anymore water didn't work for me. I hate getting filled as slow as my fill Dr. is going, but on the other hand I don't ever want to be overfilled again. If I would of been able to feel it right away or soon after I would have been able to call him and have a slight unfill, oh well on we go. Shesha, :) I know that you have had to have alot of patiance waiting to get your band working again, good luck to you on your upcoming surgery. LapDancer,:) Where in Michigan is your daughter? You could come and visit her and then stop by to see me!?! That would be a shock, I have 3 sons and only the one daughter and can only imagine the drama that will take place planning her wedding! Not that I would'nt look forward to it, and i'm sure there would be no stopping it if they made up thier minds. Now you can probably plan a reception for them, oh no, am I making you feel worse? How old is your daughter? Can you tell that I am no good at composing a letter or my thoughts!:faint:Talk to you later, Sunnysea:) -

Woofay, It will only take a minute to get unfilled, I know how discouraging and uncomfortabe it is but you will feel better the minute he takes some out. I had gotten a complete unfill and then let it rest awlile so any swellig goes down. I have had 3 fills since, 1cc then 1/2cc and at the end of June I had another 1/2cc for a total of only 2cc. My fill DR. will only see me every 4 weeks and takes it too slow! My 1st fill with DR K was over 2cc's and the next day he put in almost another 1cc's, anyhow I stiil do not have restriction!!!! So even though you are going through this hell at least you know it won't take months to catch up, I wish I could have continued with Dr. K. You take care and I hope you feel better soon. These bands are tricky at times to say the least but I wouldn't be without mine for a minute. Hope to hear good news from you soon. Sunnysea:) -

Hi Everyone,:girl_hug: OMG, Lap Dancer your pictures are GREAT! how beautiful! It's great seeing pictures of everyone, Lap Dancer I have to tell you when we first met at Dr. K's office I thought you were about 30 something, you just look younger, it's that young loveable spirit in you! Mango Drink! I LOVE MANGO'S, I wish I was your neighbor in Florida on the Gulf and then visit my friends in Denver and Dr. K :biggrin1: wishful thinking:rolleyes: I just thought it would be fun to surprise everyone at Red Robin, the people were great there to hunt down your table for me during a busy time. How is everyone's fills going? my weight lose is really slow but in the right direction, I am just fitting in some 16's and started in 22's (womens plus sizes) I have not been at this weight for a loooooong time! it feels good.:biggrin1: I am starting a new job in retail at a Shopko store so that should help me burn a few more calories running around for 40 hours a week. I have been quite the slug for the last 2 months, here I could have been out walking everyday, oh well my flowers look really nice though! take care all my banded friends, Sunnysea -
Hi, I went to Dr. Kirshenbaum in Denver at a complete cost of $9,500 not including flight and hotel, I would highly recommend him, everything was top notch. A post before me mentioned his website. He includes 3 months of fills free and only charges $15.00 to cover the cost of the needle for life. Some people have to pay alot for local fills, so add a flight at a good price and it could balance out. Sunnysea

Stacey, I was in an ER with a very severe over fill and no Dr. would unfill me, I was dehydrated, tired from air travel, blood pressure was up,in severe pain, nausiated,I had to spit in a bag any saliva, and was dry heaving and gaging. I said that I would sign a release not to hold them responsable and they still made my husband drive me 60 miles away to another ER where an experianced Dr. could unfill me. I know! I couldn't believe it either but I guess if you jab youre tubing and cause a leak, back to surgery you go and that could be much more costly. I hope you reconsider your options, maybe there is a Radiologist that is use to accessing ports that would fill you at a better cost?????

Hi Everyone, I am sooooooooooooooo envious of everyone getting together! No, i'm really glad to hear that you are able to get together and support each other, just wish I could join in. I know I have to visit online more:D I have been busy looking for a job and taking care of myself. I signed up with a Dr. an hour away for fills for a year, I can't ever be in that situation again being overfilled and no where to go. So unfortuantly that means I won't be visiting Denver for the next year at least. After being unfilled on April 18th I got a fill of 1cc on may 1st and another of .5cc about a week ago. I didn't feel any differant after the 1st one and just now am feeling alittle restriction with this last one. This Dr. is VERY conservative with his fills, almost too much, last month I only lost 1lb in 3 weeks and his nurse said I will have his fill kit here incase he decides to give you a fill! Well there was no arguement he gave me my fill, but not without a bunch of questions. He takes baby steps, he decides what he is going to put in for a fill, I have a feeling it is the same for everyone. He doesn't want to see me until June 25th, even if I wouldn't have felt any restriction, he wants us to get used to the feeling of the band and work with it, he mentioned that some people get too full and end up with problems or even gain weight on soft foods and drinks. I hope this works out for me because I would be mad if I didn't lose much and was told to wait another month. But I am glad I have someone close if a fill becomes too tight. ***********************************SHESHA, I'm so sorry to hear about your port, hope what ever restriction you do have can hold you over. ***********************************MAL, You certainly have had you're share of problems, hope you get good news on Friday. ***************************************DYNAMO, Didn't you have a fluid build up there and found out when you went for a fill??? **************************** Hi to everyone else, LAPDANCER, DREWS, ANGIE, WOOFAY, TATOR, MARJON, and NEW LAPBANDERS! From what I understand they decide in surgery, when considering your stomach, stoma size, and your BMI.
