I have 2 things... Soup & chili! Chipotle chicken Chili Southwest Chicken Soup The soup is easy...5 cans... 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed 1 can Rotel (tomatoes & peppers), drained 1 can corn, drained 1 large can of chicken broth 1 can of chicken, drained Mix together, add in seasonings you like... I like to caramelize onions 1st, and then add in the corn & Rotel , then add in beans and chicken. I really don't like canned chicken, so I use rotisserie or left overs... Add Water... Oh, and you can put rice or Pasta if you want. It's great soup!!

I have to make a decision..

Get the sleeve! The Lap band has only been around for about 20+ years & sometime thru your lifetime, you will need to get additional surgery to have it removed & possibly get the sleeve then. So, why not just do the sleeve now, & be done with it?!? Dona -

Is it gonna be in Keller? We are in Forth Worth. My husband & I have both been banded & went to our first meeting last week. We loved it! -
Be careful!! My dr told me 4 oz of liquid an hour, & I landed up in the emergency room my 4th day from dehydration and an infection. Eat ice!! Best thing I did in the hospital, plus it kept my throat feeling better. My throat hurt from the tube down my throat during surgery. Another thing I do, I sip& I put a bit in my mouth and it just disappears & I don't swallow. (arou d 1/8th of a sip. But stick with the ice chips. Good luck & stay hydrated!

Do you ever wonder the doctors are so varied on their opinions because either: 1. They simply do not possess the education 2. They stay in business by conducting surgeries

My doctor told me drink a hot beverage in the morning. Guess it's to loosen the band... -

Do you consider Subway? to be fast food?
Chipotleoak replied to btrieger's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Fast food joint- there's no server, therefore Subway is fast food ( plus if you can get your food in 5 minutes or less it's FAST food!) -

Yes, there is water poising. But I don't think bandsters have to worry about it. Before my banding, I would drink upwards to a gallon a day.
