Up and down my whole life. Mostly fit then in 30s fighting it. Addicted to diet pills and was skinny. I know the secret to being fit -- burn more calories than you consume. The problem was i was starving a lot. I was really really hungry. Not an emotional eater. I finally was having no success with my weight even after a year of jenny craig and getting skinny and getting a tummy tuck - i gained 45 lbs! and was ruining tummy tuck. I could not lose. My dr recommended lap band. I thought i wasn't overweight enough but 75 lbs is good enough, he said. I had care credit for my tummy tuck that i had paid off $7K in the prior year so I called and asked them to increase credit to 11,000. They did. I paid $4K down so I wouldnt use the entire credit line. I am paying the 9K off without interest over 18 months -- quite a deal. I lost 26LBS right away after my lap band on April 28 -- by May 14 i was 198. But today is July 4 and i havent lost since then. the restriction at first was great. then about 1 month after i didnt feel it anymore. I got a first fill. It really didnt feel different. I was starting to get scared that I would be the one person who it didnt decrease the stomach. My second fill was a few weeks ago and really I didnt feel the restriction til just last week. It's like al of a sudden it wrapped into my stomach and i cant eat more than a few bites of food. I hope it stays this way. I dont know if it's normal or not. 
When my dr did the lap band he said i had a Hiatal Hernia and he repaired it. He said it had enlarged my stomach and it was huge. No wonder I was always so hungry.  
Right now I am hoping this restriction remains. I am scared it wont. I am so eager to look good again. I did start exercising again and I know that helps.
