Here we go! Never thought I'd consider this procedure - thinking it too invasive. If it were not for a complete stranger I met while having my nails done last month, I would not have made the decision to finally do something for myself! Funny how life hands you little gifts without realizing it. I'm 38 and simply tired of the yo-yo lifestyle I've led for most of it. At 6 ft tall people wouldn't necessarily guess I weight what I do, but...I do. And while I'm no spring chicken...lol...I really do hope to have the chance to have kids someday. Living life at this weight and dieting off and on just isn't creating an ideal situation. I'm the most inactive active person you'll ever meet and that has to change as well. I recognize this procedure isn't the cure all - it's an entire lifestyle change that my lifestyle demands. I worry most about balancing this new "life" with work since I travel quite a bit; maybe someone can share some best practices or advice for how to contend with nutrition while on the road. Nonetheless, I'm early in the process and feel lucky to have the chance to have it. Therefore I have to do my best to invest in myself and work hard to at what awaits. I'm in the Tampa area and would welcome any candid advice post-op patients are willing to offer. Be blunt! I like my honesty with a little bit of spice to it! lol. No matter what - just in a good place to reclaim who I am and lead a lifestyle which is as active and healthy as it can be.
