Kathy, I work both Fri and Sat night, but I am going to try to wake up and come to the meeting! I miss seeing everyone, and really would love to chat with everyone for a bit! I noticed how great you are looking, too...and was wondering if you might be interrested in some clothes that I have. I have a TON of size 18, and was just going to but them on craigslist, but would much rather share with a friend! I am wearing mostly 16's (although most I have to roll over to stay up!) and figure I am about at my goal...so I need to clean out my closet and make room for more clothes next year after my PS! Has anyone heard if Juli will be there this meeting? I would LOVE to see and talk with her about her PS journey...she was the first of us to do it, right? Well, I hope to get my bootie up and moving on Sat morning! See you then!

Kathy, I am having the same experience as you. One day, I can eat about a cup of food, depending on the consistancy...the next, I need to be careful to have some type of "sauce" to help the meat go down. I really love my level of restriction right now, and would hate to get fluid taken out...so this is by no means me complaining!!! I find that I have more trouble before my TOM and then things loosen right up after the homones have calmed down. Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and finding some activities to keep our heart rates (and weight loss) up!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say hello to my band buddies and let you know that I was thinking of you! Things are still really busy with me, but I wanted to share my exciting news with YOU, my great support system! I hit 100 pounds today!!! Woohoo! It feels really great! It is also nice to look at my ticker and see I only have 21 lbs left (well before I look into plastics!) I hope everyone is enjoying this crazy spring we are having and I hope we can bump into each other on the boards or at a meeting this summer! Lots of love! Niki

I sooo agree. I would have never had the energy or confidence to do all that I am doing without the surgery. I told my mom the other day that I feel like the me I had inside is finally having a chance to come out! I am back in school to get my MSN (Masters of Science in Nursing) and to be a midwife! I have talked about this since high school, and it just seemed like the kids are in kindergarden and preschool, so it just worked! I am only going part time (6 credit hours) so it will take me about 3 years to be finished, but it will be worth it! There is not a day that goes by that I don't feel blessed to have this amazing tool!

Yipee! yeah for today, Sarah! You had some issues with your band this year that caused your plateau! Look at the amzing year you still had! 75lbs and wearing a size 16 is awesome! Congrats!

Hey guys! Sorry I have been away for awhile, but I started back to Grad school and my free time is little! Things are going well for me band-wise. It always makes this time of year better to have someone to spend it with! NYCM- I am really sorry that your band is giving you such a hard time. I know how much stress effects my band, and you have been under SOOO much stress the last few months that it seems like your band is being tested daily! I hope the testing you are going to be having gives you the answers you are looking for! Harley- I know exactly what you mean when you say "falling in love all over again!" My hubby and I have been more "physical" lately and that makes me feel like a gitty teenager again! It is amazing how many areas this band effects in my life! Joyce, I did have a very hard time fighting for my band. I actually had to wait an entire year for another open enrollment to pick up atena, thru Mt Carmel (I work there). It was well worth the wait! You will see!

You are right Rhonda...they tend to assume it is the easy way out...Far from it!

I had a NSV last night at dance class for my DD. I followed her into the bathroom to help her change clothes and the owner of the studio came in after me. I turnned around and she was toe to toe with me...and in a soft voice said "ok, me and Becky (the front desk girl) want to know what you are doing to lose all of this weight." I was taken so off guard. I think this was the first time someone I was not "out" to said something about it. I chuckled and told her that is was a combo of having the lap band, eating 1500 ish cals a day and working out. She seemed to only hear the lap band part and was full of questions. I gladly answered them and then she left to go back out in the studio. After she left I wanted to cry. I was not sure if it was an emotional release of the joy that comes with how far I have came, or if I was worried that the small town dance studio would be buzzing with the news of my surgery! Either way, I wondered how I would handle it when the day came, and I guess I got my answer!

Woohoo! Size 16 is great! Way to go NYCM!
