Welcome back QT! I am so sorry to hear about everything going on in your life the last month or so! I understand your pain...Last Dec 14th (06) My MIL had a massive stroke, too. We also spent the holidays at Grant...Long story short...she beat the odds and woke up on Christmas day! She has came a long way, but has lost speech, and the use of her legs and right arm...I tried to take care of her here at my house, but after about 6 weeks we had to put her in a nursing home. It is a nice place, as nursing homes go, but I sure do wish I could have kept her home with my FIL. The are only in their 50's so it makes for a long road a head for them... anyway...I am sooo proud of you for keeping the scales moving in the right direction. I know all of the stress along with the holidays could have been a major weight gain for anyone! Thanks everyone for the support. I am so excited for the next few weeks...between the vacation and surgery, Time is going to fly!!!!

Ohhh, I might be able to use the 22's. I think that is about what size I am in now, although I haven't bought clothes in a long time! I think I will have some scrubs you can have, too. Do you have to wear a certain color? I am in a 2x scrub now, so if you want my smaller scrubs for now I am willing to trade! Heck, it will prob be a while before I would even fit in them, and by then you will swim in them!

Hey ladies...I have Aetna also. I guess I was just lucky, but they approved me within a week of the office submitting the forms...I guess it just depends on the actual policy you have within Aetna.

OK Ladies...are you ready to hear this??? I finally got a call back yesterday (almost 10 days from my call to her) from Charlene. I thought she was going to tell me that the info was sent to insurance...but no...she was calling to tell me the INSURANCE COMPANY SAID YESSSSSS!!!! YAHOOO!!! I WAS SO DOING MY HAPPY DANCE!!! She called me this am and wanted me to have surgery on the 6th of Feb....I hated telling her no, but that is only two and a half weeks before Disney, and I didn't want to be on liquids there. Soooo March 12 is the day!!! I can't believe it. I feel like I have been waiting for this forever (15months!) Sue--I am sending some luck your way baby! So... TM, special K, Sue and anyone else...MARCH is looking good to me--how bout you?!?!? Oh, and the bathing suit thing....I got the size 22 I ordered from fashion bug and the top is tooo small...go figure. I am either going to order a different on in a bigger size or try that avenue store you were talking about. thanks agin!

Wow...slimed, I can picture it in my mind and it isn't pretty! Hope you are feeling better now. Hey, anyone know of a good place for plus sized bathing suits? I called around and no one I could think of has them out except target...and for some reason, they were cut way too short to cover my belly! I wear a 22/24 in clothes just fine, but I even tried the 26 suit and still no coverage! I was soooo upset! We are going to Kaliharri resort in two weeks, and Disney in a month...so I am getting desperate!

If I could, I would soooo go somewhere else!!! I have had a terrible time with communication with Mt Carmel''s staff. I am sorry to say that about my sister hospital ( I work at Mt carmel east) but it has been that way for the entire year I have been doing this! I LOVE Dr Choban, and have no choice with my insurance, so I am just going to keep hanging in there! Scrap time---anytime, anywhere! Let me know! I work Thur and Friday nights, but I can get away Sat or Sunday. Grove city is fine with me. I am willing to drive!

Hey Girls...Maybe we can have a little scrapbooking retreat? We can get together somewhere and scrap together for a few hours. We can chat about the band and scrap at the same time! I would be willing to set up some tables in our basement (if you don't mind all the mess) and we can hide down there for an afternoon. Heck, we can even bring some munchies and drinks and have a little party?!?!? Sue--I am soooo glad you are still fighting this! Hang in there girl, it will be worth it! Good luck today Special K! Angie, a scrapbook vacation...how awesome would that be!!! I got a copy of the letter my PCP wrote and sent to Charlene. It was great, but it didn't mention anything about the last 6 monthly weights. I know the insurance company is going to need to see that, so I emailed him back today...hopefully I can get that all sent to Charlene by Friday and we can apply for coverage the first of next week!!! I can't wait!!! I hope I can get all the ducks in a row so I can have the surgery as soon as we get back from Disney March 6th!!!

I totally agree! I think my DH would be at a loss of words if he knew how much I weigh! (Not that he cares!) We both need to get healthy and lose weight, but my weight effects me mentally...and that is the biggest difference. He still finds the energy to get down and play rough with the kids, too...where I shy away from it, and away from outings where I might run into someone I know.

I was in shock! I sent a not so nice email to the web master asking how this could have happend...I did't hear back from them, but the did take the pic off of their name and put it back on mine...Needless to say, I don't use that name anymore. The weird thing was that I clicked Memberlist and it was on the front page!!! My old name was **Lap Happy**. I guess because of the *, I was listed first...their name was just laphappy. Thank goodness I came across that before my DH saw it. He is always warning me about the internet, and putting personal info on here!

I agree...It is really great to have a face with your user name, too. I am a little leary about putting another pic on my profile. I did that with another screan name on this website, and some how another user has it set with their screan name. You can imagine how freaked out I was, especially since it was a pic of me with my DD!

Good Monday Morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Just to keep updated--I am still waiting to hear if my PCP sent the letter to Charlene to be faxed with the papers for insurance approval. I would hope everything would be sent before the end of the week, but that is prob not going to happen...It seems like the "paperwork people" don't really understand how excited/important it is for us to get things rolling! They must have not ever been in our shoes!

I think a weekend meeting would be great! I usually work Friday nights, but a Sat night would be wonderful. My Hubby would be able to watch the kids and I could get away for some Mommy-time! Are you thinking some time in Feb?

That sounds like fun! I sure wish I could have been there! So was there any talk about when and where to meet next? I think once a month or two would be fun! Speaking of shopping...I just went to Kohls to pay off my christmas bill and they had their spring line in...OHhhh, I can't wait til next year to be able to shop anywhere I want!!!

TM--wow, what a great deal! I love finding stuff that I need on sale like that! The best therapy in the world!!! I was really looking forward to coming tonight, but both my kids start swim lessons at 6pm. I don't want to miss their first class. I will make sure to make the next meeting! Well, I have been playing phone tag with Charlene for 5 days now...She calls me back at home, but doesn't try my cell phone, even after I ask her to call me on it...I know she must be busy, but it drives me sooooo crazy! I remember that last year when I was trying to get ahold of her, it was the same way. Oh Well, what else can I do? Poor Buckeyes! I feel so bad for them to have made it so far (twice) and to be blown away! It doesn't help to be playing a team in their own back yard! Ok, maybe that is just an excuse... ahhhh Kohls cash...gotta love it! I love shopping there for my kids, but I find it really hit and miss for my size. I know I will be there all the time when I can fit into regular sizes...there styles and prices are great! I sure hope I can make it Tues...it just depends on what time my DH gets home from work!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Christmas time (with a 3 and 4 year old) was very busy and very exciting! Taking down the tree yesterday was hard for the children to understand...they keep asking if tomorrow is Christmas morning again. Debbi, congrats on the new fill. I am sure the scales will be smiling at you soon. I also wanted to share that Mt Carmels insurance does cover the band if it is medically necessary...we will see what they say. I am just finishing up my second 6 month diet history and plan to call Charlote today and see about sending it in for approval. I am a little scared at this point...I am having deja vu' with last year. I don't know what I will do if this falls through! Sue, don't give up! If there is not specific settings on a cpap machine stated, I would think you could fight it! I wish there was a place on here where people would post copies of the letters they have used to win appeals--heck, we are all in this together! Special K, looks like we are about on the same schedule! I hope to be banded around March 8th or so....We are taking the kids to Disney for Feb 25-March6, what better way to celebrate! TM, I have thought about you and your family several times this holiday. I know the road ahead is full a bunch of questions...and that can be scary...know that we are here!
