Well guys...I did it! I started c25k today! I never thought that 60 sec could kick my butt so much, but it DID! It was much harder than I thought, but I managed! I tried to keep my jogging at 5 mph and walking at 3.5mph, but at time it was 4.7-3.2. either way, I felt awesome when I was done!!! My heart rate was in the 170's and it felt so good! I am planning on doing it again tomorrow, so I will let ya know! Wow Whosya, how exciting? Did someone do it with you, or did you run alone? Either way, congrats!!! BigBaby, sorry for your loss!

I agree! It sounds like there was a good turn out at the last meeting. That is so exciting! I am all for another get together when you are feeling up to it Carol!

Hey guys! I am sorry I missed the meeting yesterday, but my son had a fever and wanted his Mommy to hold him. And please tell your daughter not to worry about the amino, the needle is really scary, but it doesn't hurt at ALL! I didn't even have them use the lidocane; I figured one stick was better than two! DRH, were you banded at Mt Carmel? If so, you have another week and a half before mushies and you will be ready for then at that time. My fav was FF refried beans, salsa and FF sour cream. We can all share our favs with you this weekend! Hang in there...

Sarah, Yes, I think we were in the same pre op class!!! I work on MI at East! Your hair in your pic looks lighter, otherwise I think I would have noticed. I love running into people on her that I have met in person!!! Special K--thanks for the hug! and Congrats on the great job eating at Bob's! I have found that now that I am eating real food (pretty much reg food now) I am offically in Bandster Hell! I told Dr Choban that I am HUNGRY and my fill isn't til the 29th! I think I am going to just try to MAINTAIN the weight I lost, but I am not sure if that is even possible! I am starting an exercise program (running/weights) on Monday, so maybe that will help?

Ok, so I made 6 phone calls today (hey, I need my paycheck) to MidOhio and I even had Mt Carmel re-fax the paperwork...bottom line, they filled it right out, had Dr Choban sign it, faxed it right back to Mt Carmel, and I am picking up a check at 3pm for my last two weeks. Ahhhh. I feel like I can breathe now! It is funny how everyone blames everyone else when things like this happen, but Dianna at MidOhio said she never got the first fax. I have to believe her, because she was right on top of the paperwork I had her fill out before. SO, maybe it was just something that was lost in the Fax system?!?! All I know is I was very thankful as to how quickly they came together for me!

I will be at Tuttle, too. I think it will be good for me, and other Mt Carmel bandsters that have had some trouble lately, to see just how much the program does work. I know that Dr Choban is an amazing woman, who does amazing things for her patients, and I would like to hear from them personally!

I hate to add to the mix, but I am sitting her in tears right now! Today is Friday--payday. Yahoo, right? Wrong...Mid ohio never sent my disability papers back to Mt Carmel, so I was declined...and that means no pay check for me. I even asked them yesterday if the papers were sent and she said that they were not in the "to do" pile. You can imagine my surprise when I looked at my accout and saw that not only did I not have a pay check, but all of my online bills were still sent, and I am going to have to figure out what to do next! Ugh...it just seems like it is one thing after another. Special K, this might be post surgery letdown, but it still stinks!

Hey guys, just back from my post-op visit with Dr Choban. Things went great--I didn't have to wait long, she answered my question, gave me the ok to start lifting/running, and said my first fill will be with Melissa on the 29th (one day short of 7 weeks). Sje also removed a stitch that was still poking out...I got the impression from her reaction that she must have let a resident stitch me up...no big deal from my opion, but the scars could have looked a little better if more time was taken...maybe I will try the oil you are using SpecialK?!?!?
