I had my surgery at True results and they give you a little journal to keep track. Ask your doctor's office-they might provide onw too:-)

I have had 3 fills now and each time I get really bad gas. Is this normal? Anyone else get this?

I took 4 weeks off but could have gone back after 1 week. I wanted to stay out until my 1st fill just to be sure it went ok and my doc agreed so I just used my short term disability coverage and got 100% pay

I was banded 6-23-2010 and my 1st fill was 7-21-2010. My doc had me lay down and she felt for my port and then stuck me with the needle. On the 1st fill she wanted to see how much was in my port so she withdrew all and then added it back. Because she had to withdraw it was a little uncomfortable but nothing really. She then had me sipp some water to be sure it went down. She said I had 5cc's so she only gave me .5 cc and made me wait 2 weeks for another fill. I went back today and it was so easy-just a little prick and all done. Again she only gave me .5cc but I am at 6cc's now. I am going to try and wait 3 weeks this time. Best of luck :-)

I have been getting the hiccups everytime I eat and they hurt...has this happened to anyone else?

Hey there. I was banded 6-23 and I have lost 13 lbs. My 1st fill was 7-21 and I am going back for a 2nd fill on 8-5. I have been really hungry but find when I eat more protein I do stay full longer but then I have the problem with my bowels.

I was banded on 6-23 and have had no restriction so I thought my band was empty. I have been struggling to eat the right things as I am hungry all the time. I went for my first fill today and the NP said I had 5 cc's in there so she only gave me a .5cc and said to come back in 2 weeks!!! I am so discouraged. I have only lost a total of 9 LBS and I am starting to think I really had this surgery for nothing!!!!!

I am starting to get depressed. I was banded 6-23-2010 and I have had no restriction since about day 4 and my first fill is not until 7-21. I know everyone says this is the bandster hell period but I am starting to think this was all for nothing. I have not lost any weight in the last week :-(

Thanks Jen...I know I need to hang in there. I always get this way when I dont see the scale moving.

I was banded 6-23-2010 and I only stayed on liquids for 4 days and then did mushies for 2 days and then regular foods and I have had no side effects. I too lost 10 lbs and have just been maintaining. My doctor just advised to take small bites and chew chew chew. My first fill appt is 7-21 so I am hoping to get some restriction and see this weight start to come off so I feel like this wasnt all for nothing!!!!!

so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law-my prayers are with you. I had my surgery on 6-23 and I was so hungry on day three I moved on to mushies and ate mashed potatoes for a day or two and have been eating regular food ever since with no problem.

Thank you all for making me feel better. I just had a chicken breast for dinner and I did fine. I think I might call my doc to see if I can move my fill date to the 14th
