Hi everyone, right now I'm thinking of having the surgery. I'm barely at the required BMI necessary to meet the surgery guidelines. I do have a few medical conditions which allow me to have the surgery at a BMI of 38. I'm scared and don't know if its right for me. I've battled my weight since my early twenties up and down as most of you are familiar with I'm sure. I'm now 40 with a heart condition, sleep apnea, under active thyroid and upper back problems. I hate having this extra weight but think going on the diet roller coaster is no longer an option. Can someone give me words of hope regarding this surgery? Please.
