I have been chubby all my life - gotten more so as I have gotten older. I have wanted to get the lap band for many years but have had Kaiser insurance until this year (2010) and they did not cover the cost and I could not afford without the insurance. With my new medical insurance, I now have coverage and am now in the process of going thru all of the testing and so forth to get the approvals for surgery.
