At the age of 21, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.  After diagnosis, I lived in denial for almost 15 years.  With two amputations, and a husband who had an affair with a skinny woman, I decided it was time to change my life.  I was blessed with two beautiful children, and want to see them grow up, attend their weddings, and love my grandchildren.  I have the best diabetic doctor in America, and our relationship is amazing.  I am hoping after this surgery to reach a weight goal of 190 pounds.  i weighed that in the 7th grade.......I look in the mirror and cringe.... I have low self esteem, and am hoping with good health, my life will turn around.  I want to be healthy, happy, and beautiful.
