I have been overweight from the age of 13.  My weight has always fluctuated year after year.  I am currently at the biggest I have ever been and found myself exhausted with diet plans and pills.  Nothing was working.  So a friend of mine went to a Lap Band meeting and told me all about it.  From that day on I was ready for it.  This sounds strange but I wish I would have struggled more growing up.  I always had tons of friends and I was really popular.  My life was great, but I was just fat.  I think had I been made fun of and teased, I might have been more willing to change.
