Do you have any pain in your left shoulder/ neck area? I ask because 10 days after my surgery I was feeling the way you describe, along with pain in my shoulder. It turned out I had a leak in my sleeve and I've had a heck of a road since then. I previously had a lap band also, although mine was removed in 2015. I hope you don't have a leak, but if you do it's a serious condition. Best wishes! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Hello, I also posted this on the sleeve page, FYI. I have been a lurker here for awhile and appreciate everyone's insight. I had VSG surgery on 1-19-21, so 9 days ago. Things have been going really well for the most part. I'm getting over 100 ounces of hydration daily and 60-75 g of protein. Yesterday afternoon I started not feeling great. Run down, tired, a little light headed. Today I've fell bad pretty much all day, and I noticed that my left shoulder has started to hurt. I did not have any of that pain right after surgery, which I know is common. I have low grade fever and my stomach feels sick. I have taken Zofran and it hasn't helped much. I'm curious on anyone's thoughts on my situation. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

Thanks everyone. I'm actually in the hospital. Went to the ER yesterday. They found 2 pulmonary embolism and were at first concerned about a leak in my sleeve. The CAT scan showed an issue with my stomach, but they didn't necessarily see a leak. I then had an upper GI that my surgeon observed with the radiologist, and they didn't see a leak. They think there may have been a small leak that has healed itself. The PE are pretty painful in my shoulder. They have me on Heparin blood thinner and are going to see how things go the next couple of days. Covid test was negative. Thanks again for the concern Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

No worries, that was my first thought too. Fortunately, I don't have any shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms, so I'm hopeful it isn't that. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

My surgeon mentioned that I am one of the largest they have ever banded. I am about 400 lbs, but my surgeon is having me on shakes for 3 weeks before the surgery, so I am thinking I should end up around 380 or so. Has anyone else been that size or larger when they had the operation? Thanks!!
