Good Luck! You are so lucky! I have to wait 6 weeks post op...which will be Sept 8. Right now I have no restriction and am really hungry. I feel like I am on a diet right now, and the scale is hardly moving for me. I guess it's cause I lost alot already. I don't know. It's frustrating. My doc says they can do up to 3cc's at the first fill. I am hoping I get some restriction after my first fill. Let us know how it goes!!

My surgery was rather quick too. I was allowed to keep my panties on. No catheter. I was probably only in there for 45 mins.

I am going thru the same thing. I had my surgery two weeks ago. I feel like I am going to burp, but then somehow my body stops me. Sometimes I do burp. It seems to be getting alittle better with time!

I had my banding done Tuesday. I have had incredible gas pain. Still have it in my shoulder and chest. Every so often I feel like I have to burp, but I just can't, my stomache or whatever just wont let me! I am so miserable because of this. I have taken Maalox, Gas X, walking, windmilling my arms, etc. I am getting depressed thinking this will never go away!! Help!!

Well today I feel soooo much better. The gas was unbelievable!! I tried everything! It just had to work it's way out. I am so excited to move on with this. The other nite when I was in so much pain, I kinda lost it and got very upset, second guessing what I had done. I had two c sections and never had any gas pains like they suggest you might have. I underestimated it. My husband was banded 2 weeks prior to me and had none whatsoever. He is doing great but is in bandster hell right now. Not losing. He doesnt get his fill till late August. But he knows it's about healing right now.

I am on clear liquids for two weeks! My doc is very strict and takes it slow...which is fine cause I don't want any problems. This is day 3 for me, still dealing with alot of shoulder pain and gas bloating. Today I tried some chicken broth....tastes so good. Just don't know how I am gonna last for another 11 days!! Not much creativity with clear liquids!!

The gas pain is killing me...I never thought it would be this bad and I see no end in sight!! Grrrrrr.... if it wasn't for that I would be feeling great...:cursing:

I was just banded yesterday. Doing OK...tons of gas that just wont move!!! Tried walking, laying on my side, Gas X...grrrr.... Anywho, who wants to comiserate about our journey?

Awesome Trace! I had mine this morning and it went great. Just alot of gas! Hope we can keep in touch during this journey.....:scared2:

Molly, SO AM I!!! Everything went well!!! I have a ton of gas too. I tried walking around the house, gas x thin strips, laying on my side...nothing is working!!!!

I'll join this group too...I am getting banded July 27th! My husband also did about a week and a half ago. He's doing great and I am excited to start losing weight. Good luck to everyone!!

Mine is July 27th....I can't wait for it to be here. I have three kids to cook for, so that is hard, but I've been doing OK. My husband has been banded alittle over a week, and he is doing great! He's lost over 30lbs including the pre op diet. I am so excited!!

I am 41, have three kids, been gaining steadily after getting married and having kids. I was 170 when I met my husband, and a month ago for my well visit I was 263. My doc has me on the two week liquid protein shakes. My husband was banded almost a week ago. He is doing great! I started a somewhat protein shake diet/one sensible meal a day while he was on his two week shake diet, and lost some weight before my 2 week diet started. It's been going good, not bad cooking for my kids. My husband has lost 30 lbs and is looking awesome! I am happy we were able to do this together, it will make it alot easier for us both. I am hoping when we are up to it, we can start the couch to 5k too. I was never one to exercise and I want to change that. I bothers me that I have wasted so many years letting myself go. I want to be around for my grandkids. Luckily our kids are very fit and very active in sports, so that's good.
