Ever since I can remember I've been over weight.  There have been times when I haven't been as fat as others.  But it's always been an issue for me.  I'm tired of the struggle, I'm tired of the physical pain, I'm tired of not being able to keep up with my kids.  Before I got pregnant with my son in 2005 I went to a seminar about gastric bypass.  They told me that my insurance wouldn't cover it.   I was devastated, and lost all hope.  I just recently decided to call my insurance company and ask if they would now cover it, and they said if there is a predetermination for it.  So now I'm exploring the idea only now I'm looking more towards the lap band.
