I have been overweight since my late teens, when as a dancer I was advised I needed to lose weight to attend stage school. I was a british size 12, 20 years later I am over 6 stone (84lb) heavier. I've tried every diet known to man and they just don't work.  My weight was making me feel ill and I was worried about long term health problems. I decided enough was enough. I looked into getting weight loss surgery, finally admitting I needed medical help with something I couldn't control. I made an appointment for a consultation having researched options on the internet. I decided right away I would go ahead and then booked a convenient surgery date. I then went on holiday where I discussed my decision with my family. The operation went well, although I had an infection in one of my wounds which even now isn't fully healed.Yesterday I had my first fill. I was certainly ready for it as my hunger was increasing. I'm on liquids again now for 1 day, so feel hungery. I'm worried my hunger will be difficult to manage, which was my downfall with all the diets. So I really hope this works!
