    Hello from Alabama!

Angie, Dr. Adams in Decatur is my surgeon. He is very straightforward and can be very blunt. I really like him. I got the impression at the hospital that he is one of the "picky"surgeons(which I think is great). I want picky when it's my body! He is strict on the pre-op and post-op diets. The 7 days after surgery of clean liquids was rough. I think you'll like him unless you get your feelings hurt easily. He will tell you like it is.

    Hello from Alabama!

I'm from Alabama also. I had lap band surgery on Sept. 14, 06 in Decatur, Al by Dr. Adams. I know lots of people who have gone to Dr. Funcundus in Huntsville. Most are RYN however. Good luck. I love my band!

    Fill Question

I've had 2 fills and each time my doctor places me on full liquids for 2 days and soft mushies for 2 days, then regular food as tolerated. However the fills themself cause no lasting pain or discomfort for me.
  6. Hi everybody, I'm new to this site. I got my band 9-14-06 by Dr. Adams in Decatur, Al. So far, I've had 2 fills and lost 35 lbs. 20 or these pounds were due to the 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery and the rest after surgery. A small amount since my fills. I still eat too fast and after my most recent fill (11-13-06) , I'm really working to slow down. Even with eatting verrrrry slowly, I feel stuffed and little panic stricken that I've eatten too much. Do other people feel this way? Will I get better at reconizing the full signal? Thanks for all the info. Donna :omg: :omg: :paranoid
