Hey this is Bigbaby checkin' in...I'm in Duncanville, TX (suburb of Dallas). Poohprecious--I've been banded a year. I would suggest that you not puree your food. Stick with the post-op instructions that your doctor provides. I can truly tell you that success with the lapband begins in the mind.

I use to track my food on mydailyplate, but have become lax. b-protein shake s-5 chips l-tuna and wasa cracker s-90 calorie oatmeal raisin bar d-egg salad currently sitting here eating a choc bar with almonds!!!! when I want to do right---evil is always present!!!

Bloo--have you ever made the meatballs with ground turkey rather than beef? Did it make much of a difference?

My eating has been HORRIFIC!!! I've been on vacation--this let's me know that I am not as disciplined as I hoped I was (lesson learned). the good thing is that I have been exercising through my rough eating... I return to work tomorrow, thus to healthy eating again...I will post tomorrow. Bloo--post a pix of the new cut

Java---I will be 40 in Nov of 2009, but I'm starting to save now--and plan activities. I want to throw myself a party here for my friends and family, as well as go with my closest friends to Hawaii. I'm trying to find someone who has a timeshare where they can trade time--I think it would be less expensive than 4 or 5 nights in a hotel. Suzz--are you REALLY moving to TX? What part?

Hey everybody!!! Hope all is going better for all of you!!!! Insub--have a wonderful time on your trip. I am single also and have decided to start saving for my a trip to hawaii for my 40th b-day.... guess what I did???? I hiked a mountain--just 2 miles but it kicked my butt!!! The group that I went with moves fast and on the flat land they jogged...It killed me but it was a good way to break up the exercise routine.

o2b--Hate that you're going through...but glad that you didn' hvae to make an emergency trip to Mexico!!! I don't know if you're doing this--but maybe try logging your food each day--knowledge is power--maybe this will help you with control. try www.mydailyplate.com

Insub: Here's my two cents: Go immediately and get a little fill. This will give you approx 15 or so days for your band to adjust before the trip. I would think that it would be better to eat more, gain weight and then when you come back get it adjusted and loose the weight again. Or you could get an overfill and be sick for an entire year!!!

Sweatmeat--you need to update your ticker. It says you've only lost 51lbs--not 70lbs. What portion of the 70lbs is post-band? Currently I am in a size 16. I've decided not to have a "goal weight. Instead, I have a goal size of 12 or when I loose so much weight that my face starts sinking....which ever comes first. -

Bloo--did you doc suggest that you have a Protein Shake everday? Mine suggested that I not because he wants me to get Protein from food. (but sometimes I still have one) TODAY--WENT TO DENTIST b-choc-pb protein shake l-1/2 can of ranch style Beans s-sugar free pudding d-1/2 can of ranch style beans d-4 meatballs w/ light honey mustard ....I feel hungry now--don't know what I'll eat
