Been looking at what people have been writing everyone is doing so well losing the weight! i went for a fill resently in london and meet a lady in the waiting room who had lost 10 stone! I don't think i had mine tight enough my own fault i just not been going for the fills could not get the time off work and so busy with kids and everything. its been coming off slowly for me, now i can really feel the difference this time, proper restriction. -
Hello i have managed to get the day off work! whooop! so I can join you in London , can we meet at the station ? and then go over there?it might be nice to make a day of it.

I think its great we are staying in contact like this because we where both really big when we first meet up, and we can meet up every now and again and watch each other shrunk ! lol

its interesting you can get it done on insurance is that just because you live in ireland? i think they don't use the national health like we do in the UK so more people have it.what does the insurance cover you for? -

i have soup for dinner in a flask, i got a new blender and make it myself. I make up a load at the weekend and have it for about three days. The rest i put in the frezzer for another week, so that i don't have the same everyday. The only thing is i love to have a large bit of crusty white bread with it lol. oh well i seem to be able to eat a small amount of it , i do find myself drooling over other peoples sandwiches. I think i am getting worse than my dog -

hey, I think this is really good advice, i might do this sit down at the weekend and just write down everything i need for the week. look in some cook books and well and see what i can eat. I find this time of year the hardest its so cold outside and its really hard not to eat comfort food. -

hey jane nice to hear again, yes i think the service is excellent at europe surgery . i called bridget again this morning just asking a few questions about my diet. she always answers the phone and gets back to emails straight away. fredrick and chris are lovely too while your over there but it takes a while for them to get back to you because there so busy! The hardest thing i find is chocolate!! its my down fall. i think i am going to try just drinking those sliming hot choc has anyone else found anything good for chocolate hits??christmas was really bad so many chocolates around... -
yes meeting up in london after our next fill will be great we could just go to the same cafe as last time? be really good to see you again, bet you look really good now i was not so good over christmas a few too many chocs very naughty! The aftercare is really good isn't it! having someone you can call on the phone when your stuck really helps, and being able to see chris in london. looking forward to meeting u again !

Hello thanks for that yes just called europe surgery , all is good. I agree i am gald i booked though them its a lot easier just being able to call someone in the UK. Bridget just gets back to you quickly. i still can't eat much bread, which i find hard because i love it i don't know why fern did all those rivia adverts when she had a gastric band fitted . i don't seem to be able to eat loads of rivtita lol

i with you jane and julie!!Bridget at europesurgery.co.uk answers the phone and does her emails everyday its much easier while your booking and sorting things out to call her. fred and chris are so busy. bridget is the uk point of contact and they emplyed her to help. I have been reallly pleased with the serive and she does not take any money it all does to chris and fred. i think it changes your lift the operation and i am so glad i did it  -
Hello my consultation was the night before surgery as well. I think the band fills are always on a thursday. I guess you could see a different surgeon and get them down else where. But I dont think I would do that because fred and chris are really nice.maybe ask if you could go to another place like mancester and do them there instead ?

Hey just dont worry its the best thing I have ever done! Everyone is helpful when you are there. And bridget is really helpful afterwards if you call her. I must admit I am sick of herbellife shakes . But this works and after a month you can eat nearly normal just smaller sizes. -
I am up for meeting up I think I am boring my husband stupid talking about all this

I have found something that is like chocolate but you get it from the health food shop. And I am just having small amouts of that at the moment

hi if your going to london for the band fills i could meet you there, it would be good to chat and catch up. You are doing very well !!:rolleyes2:
-
hello, nice to hear from you I booked with bridget, you stay at the campanile hotel its nice. It not a really posh hotel, but nice and clean. They do the consultations there in the evening. Also its near the hospital. how is everyone else doning with there weight loss?
-
hello i have lost nearly half a stone, i am pleased with that> i don't want to lose it too quick cos i reaction i will get strenth marks everywhere, and i would hate that. you know to lose the weight be feel like your body is a total mess afterwards! half a stome in about 4 weeks i think is great, if i keep going like that it would be fanastic but i guess maybe its quick at the start and then slows down. i am not sure really but i have not had a fill yet and i guess they help too

I am doing well as well! i am sure the first month is the hardest. did the liquid only diet for the first 10 days then i was on to mushed up food like a 2 year old yum yum:tongue_smilie:but anyway i just don't care its worth it just to lose the weight.
