Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
juliesquirral replied to susanlondon's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I totally agree Christmas is the worst time of the year for putting on weight I normally put on a stone over December I think to be honest its the amount of alcohol I drink! and well as food. This year I thinking about going away somewhere cheap and hot, but have not found any deals yet its all looking a bit expensive -

The europesurgery office just get back to you straight away and are there for you if you need anything after having the band fitted, its the same price where ever you book but its better to stick to the uk office if your in the UK as you have the help line to ring if your ever stuck on any thing -

mine was quite full last time i had it done and then it just eased off. Maybe you don't need any more fills at the moment? maybe this is about right for you? You don't really need it too tight just so that you can only drink fluids you just need some resistriction so you can't over eat. Thats what i found anyway it just slowly come off and stayed off over time. I not really found its increased its tightness during my period but somedays it does sort of feel like its tighter than others. Maybe it just depends on how well you feel i am not sure really.I just call 02081445254 when i want to know anything and they get back to me about what the surgeon thinks. -

how you getting on happy flower its good to have you as a friend on here because we went to Brussels at the same time, this is a great way of staying in contact! hope you not been eating too much chocolate. For me I feel things are going well. The weight has slowly come off and for once in my lift what has come off is staying off. I agree the aftercare with fredrick and chris is very good just having to go to london is easy for me and being able to call the UK europe surgery number whenever your worried is great too. when do you think you will go to london again, I wondered if you fancied meeting up in between just for a chat about things? I am only working part time at the moment so can fit in around you. -

hi i got the heliogastband i think dr chris fits that for most women. if you are flying into the airport with the ryanair, its better works out cheaper getting the ryainair bus to the midi transtation and then the local train tree stops to viloorde its about 20 euro total for all that and not using taxis, its a lot better to book with europe surgery because you go get aftercare on the phone and someone there to talk to if your worried about anything alone the way. -

I would just go for dr chris, i know what you mean about liking your own bed and not being in a hotel room but surely its better to be in a hotel next to the hospital the night after you have stayed in hospital? chris has got the lowest complication rate in europe to me its a no brainer why would you pay more to go in the UK? anyway each to there own. you even get someone in the uk to call if you book with the europesurgery office. do you even know which surgeon is operating on you? some of the uk sites don't tell you anything about the surgeon just the price and the hospital...very sus i think! sorry find it a bit weird your writing on a chris de bruyne forum thread and then saying about a uk hospital! anyway i just in a bad mood today so ignore me... -

Hello i have PcOs and have had problems concieving and thats why i got the band, so far no babies but the weight has come off! I know now I am heathier than I was a year ago. I am being really careful what I eat lots of oliy fish for the omena oils and vegetables. I still feel like its the best thing i ever done, I am maybe getting too old for babies now but at least i have given it mybest shot. I found everything went really well with chris he was really nice when i got to beligum and the nurses where lovely. if you call the office land line 0208 1444 254 they will talk you through everything and book your hotel for you over there, and just give you back up if your worried about anything. But don't worry about chris he is really good and you can see him in the UK afterwards.I have found with the band that i feel less hungery and really that was the only way forward for me because I had tried verything else. -

Well done! Good to have some blokes on here!I booked direct with europe surgery too about a year ago. All went very well its good to have someone in the UK you can call when your worried about anything. Chris and fredrick are brillant when you get to Brussels i felt totally relaxed in there care, you can just tell they know what they are doing. Great to here from newies on here, you will not regret having the band it really was the only way forward for me the diets where just not working. if you wnat to know anything at anypoint get in contact we all support each other on here. The first 4 days are the worst but really not that bad, its like lots of trapped wind, just be ready for it. Then really after that its plan sailing, people can barely recognize me! seriously people who i have not seem for a while walk passed me and i am like hello its Julie. Then you seethe surprise on there face when they realise its you the new slimmer u. I think its because lots of fat has come off my face. Happy new year ! -
Happy new year everyone! wishing you all a thiner 2012 happyflower lets meet up even if not for a fill it was good fun last time don't u think? let me know when your free!

Hello again, Yes i thought you where looking great when i saw you! its a bit expensive all this losing weight isn't it? I just brought some new clothes size 16! I know i am still big but I am really pleased it that, size 16 just feels more 'normal' than what i was before. I was thinking of getting some clothes on e bay because i don't really know how long i be this size? I was only an 18 for a couple of months and there is no point it spending loads on clothes if your not going to wear them again.

it would be really good if people could get a gastric band off there insurance companies it would be interesting to know if anyone has manage it? i did not take out insurance just to go over there , i just got a european travel card the old e111, but i think people in ireland have mediacl insurance because they have to pay more for surgery than people in the uk. it would be great id that insurance cover people to pay for the band to be fitted. -

Yes its really hard. In the summer you can eat salad and it just seem really fresh and nice. i brought a salad for my lunch the other day and it did not really do the trick, i just felt like i was short changed if you know what i mean you need something warm in this weather. -

I always find your better off emailing europe surgery. fred really busy and takes ages getting back to emails its the same price they just have employed bridget to do the emails because they spend all day operating and doing consultations. -

i tend to go for those low cal choc moose at least them you can get the chocolate taste, i just have to band myself from going to the supermarket too often so that i only buy so many. Thats the thing i think that has helped me the most, i only let myself shop once a week and i write down everything before i go and try really hard to stick to it. it is hard but i find if i just nip to the corner shop thats when it all starts going wrong, and i buy snack food. -

The wind is really bad for the first couple of days isn'T it ? the only good thing is everyone over there is in the same boat! we all had lots of laughs about it. I bet some really lovely people at the consultation the night before surgery. its a really good idea to bring sometime with you for wind! i totally agree about the hospital and fred and chris i don't think i have ever heard anyone say a bad thing about either of them! i like the fact there is also someone in the uk u can phone when your stuck on anything i often call europe surgery if i am stuck with anything. The pain for me was not too bad i think it was just trapped wind, and went after about 2 days.
