Just wanted to say hello. I am a new member . I was banded 11-02-06 and everything is going great. I am from alabama and would like to here from someone else. I made it through the 2 week liqud stage and started mushie foods today. I feel I can eat a little more than i could last week is this normal?

Started mushie foods yesterday. Todayis my Birthday and my family wants to go out. Any suggestions?

When are solid foods usually added. Do you usually get your first fill first?I am four weeks out from my surgery and having my first fill 12-11-06.

Glad to see all of the people from Alabama. I was the second Lap- Band done by Dr. BLack in Anniston. I was in surgery for about 1Hr and 20 mins. The surgery started around 10:30 and I was home by 4 that afternnon. It was great. I do not know the doctor in mobile that someone was asking about. Keep In touch about your surgery.

Thank for the reply. My experince with Dr. Black was wonderful. He is fromAnniston Alabama. Are You set up for surgery yet . All of this lap-band stuff is still a little bit confusing to me bu I am learning everyday. I love to chat with people from Alabama. Keep me informed on your surgery.

I am two weeks and two days out since I was banded. How much food should I be eating what is normal? Feel I may be eating to much. Also is pureed food and mushie stage the same?

I new to the lap band talk. Can you tell me how to use it.

I was banded Nov. 2 2006 and going into my 3rd week . My doctor gave me a book to go by from the lap-band system. It says:help: week 3 thru 4 you can have pureed chicken or fish . Did anyone eat fish this early. I am so confused and worry that I may harm my band.
