Good luck on your next fill. I know once you start to feel the restriction, it is very helpful!

That is such a wonderful feeling. I can't wait until I can try a roller coaster again. The last time the attendent had to help me adjust the bar and my tummy. I was mortified and swore I would never ride again. However, we know they say...never say never! Best wishes for your daughter and her wedding! -
I was so excited yesterday that the scale finally budged past the last .2 pounds to make my official weight loss pass the 30 lbs. In fact I was floored that it was 1.2 pounds for an official weight loss of 31 lbs. Then, I went for my daily walk with my 11 year old twins. As we were walking, I realized how much they open up on these walks. I found out more than you can imagine about their school day. Believe me...I ask them everyday.."How was school today?" and get the "fine" response. On our walks, I found out about a reading test they both took and the little girl who likes my little boy. He wondered if 6th grade was just too young to have a girl friend. LOL  I treasue this time. It all started when I started this lapband journey. There are so many things beyond the weight loss that have resulted due to the band! I just beam from the inside out!

I have been there! I find that if I sit at the table, I do much better. I have gotten "stuck" twice. Both times I was eating in the living room. Now I eat at the table! You are doing great with your weight loss!

I felt like that a lot right after my surgery and before I had my first fill. I kept wanting the weight to drop off so quickly. Then, I developed an attitude like you. I will take even a small amount of weight loss. I walk...walk...walk! Keep up the positive attitude. It will help you go far on this journey.

That is wonderful! Keep up the great effort. It really is a wonderful feeling to be losing weight!

Wow, that is wonderful! I know that I was so scared. (I just had my first fill last week.) I did just fine until the doctor felt the need to "show" me the needle. However, it was just a slight discomfort. Nothing at all to worry about. Best of luck. I have notice a huge difference with not getting nearly as hungry as I did before the fill.

In control, maybe for the first time ever!

I know exactly how you feel. I am 8 weeks out and I just can't get that .2 to go down so that I have officially lost 30 lbs. I might walk a little more tonight. Anything....just to get rid of it. You are doing great and I know exactly how you feel! -
It funny how sometimes we feel like the scale is not moving because it is ounces. However, before we realize it....they have added up to pounds. I know I started at 313 and felt like I was stuck in the 290's. Now, in a very short time, I am down to 284. All of those small amounts add up! Keep on....it is fantastic to be going down instead of up!

Very nice and appreciative post! We all need to take time to slow down and take the time to be thankful for the many wonderful things in our lives. Thanks for sharing and reminding us!

You are brave to watch the procedure. I like to know what to expect. However, I am a little too much of a baby. Thanks!

I do a lot of self talk. Do not beat yourself up over this. Just make the decision to get refocused here and now. Make a plan for yourself and journal. Also, keep coming back to this site. You will be surrounded by people who at one time or another have experienced what you are experiencing. The main thing is to not to give up. Say to yourself...."Self..it is time to get back on board and really put this band to work for me." Also, put yourself first! Take the time to go to the store to get the lean proteins and plan out your days. You will be more successful. When you want something that you know really isn't that great for you...allow yourself 1 or 2 small bites to get the taste and move on. Just walk a little further that day. I wish you lots of luck! -
That is awesome! I am hopeful that I could be down 50 lbs in 4 months. Keep up the great job!

Here to wishing you a speedy recovery! It was hard for me those first few days. However, once I started to do a short walk around our circular driveway, I noticed it helped with my recovery. I am hopeful that you will be able to sleep tonight!

Sandradee we love to hear to what you have to say. I always look forward to your comments. This site helps to keep me focused on what I must do. We are all in this together! Keep going on! Talk! Talk! Talk!

Thanks for the comments. Since my fill was near the end of the day yesterday. Today was the first full day. Wow, what a difference. I love it. I am not starving between my meals. I love that! Although, I did notice that I need to really make sure to chew. I take a bite or two..break a little bit....take a few more bites. This has worked for today. Right now the 3 cc's seems to be the right amount. I can eat, but I can't eat as much as before my fill. After my surgery and before the fill, I had to play mind games to convince myself that I was full. It is nice to actually be full.

Congrats! Keep up the great job. It is a lot of fun to watch the scale go down.

Oh, noooooooo! I get my first fill tomorrow. I had a tooth (wisdom) extracted today. Needles...Needles...Needles... I hope it goes better for you the next time (and for me tomorrow).

I was confused as well to the number of calories. I know high protein and veggies. I am 6 weeks post op. I get my first fill tomorrow (Tuesday). You are doing great on your weight loss. Keep it up!

I am like you. I have been working out and the scale is not budging much. I go for my first fill on Tuesday. I am excited and looking forward to having it. I alway enjoy reading your posts!

I woke up today around 5:00 and couldn't fall back to sleep. I laid there for a while and decided instead of wasting my time I would get up and do my walk. It was absolutely beautiful. I live on an old mill in Pennsylvania with a red covered bridge at the edge of our property. I started my walk at 6:15. I was able to enjoy watching the sun come up. A huge deer ran across the road into the corn field. It just seemed like the world was waking up and I was a part of it. I couldn't believe how great I felt. :wink:I just passed my 6 week mark. I am down 26 lbs. Before I had my surgery, I really had to push myself to walk a half mile. It was so exhausting. It was almost impossible to finish. Today when I was walking my 2 miles...as my mother-in-law would say...I was clipping right along. I would not have thought this to be possible before. I just felt so alive!

Wow...that is amazing! I am still at the beginning of my journey. Not quite up to that level yet! Good luck on your marathon.

Oh...the baby is beautiful. Just think you will now have the energy to play with her when she starts to run around. Having a little one around brings such happiness and joy. Have lots of fun! Congrats! -
Today is a new day! Keep your chin up. Please take pride in the fact the you made the choice to do this. If you don't want a fill, I wouldn't get one. You know your body best. There are times that we just have to stand up for what we know is right. I would call back and cancel that appointment. Tell them you are not ready and will not be bullied. If you don't think you can do it, have someone in your support system call for you. Just make sure to give them their 24 or 48 hour notice. Be strong and you will get through this. Best of luck.....let us know how it goes.
