  1. My surgery was this morning and besides issues with the IV things went well. I feel fine but have a lot of pain when getting out of bed at my incision sites. I've got my largest incision inside my belly button, and there appears to be a line of crusty discharge atvthat incision site. My incisions were durabonded I believe. I've kept an icepack the surgical center sent home and the surgeon's instructions said if there was any bleeding to just ice and put pressure on it, if it was gushing blood to call them. The crusty discharge appears to be dried blood, but I'm scared to remove it because I don't want to contaminate it or make it bleed again. Is this normal? Should I just leave it be and keep icing it as I am? I think I'll call the lapband office tomorrow and check with them but wanted some input since I'm kind of apprehensive about it.
  2. I'm on day 10 of my preop diet and I'm so sick to my stomach I can hardly keep anything down including Water. I threw up all lastnight and woke up sick this morning. I forced myself to drink a full glass of water, but I had to sip it slowly because I could just barely keep it down. Not to mention my digestive system is all messed up and not doing what it should be. My preop diet consists of 2 Protein shakes, (breakfast/lunch) and full Soup (not cream) for dinner. I can also have sugarfree Jello, pudding, yogurt and popsicles. About two days ago I became really sick of the jello, pudding etc. and haven't really been eating them. I can barely finish my Protein shake this morning, I'm so thirsty, but it just makes me sick to drink. I've mostly been drinking crystal lite, and that's mostly what I threw up lastnight. Did anyone else go through this dehydration? To boot, I twisted my ankle the first week on this diet, and now my ankle is just about healed I've pulled a muscle in my leg from walking funny while my ankle was twisted. These two weeks have been hell! I was really excited about getting banded next Thurs. but now with the two weeks post op diet ahead of me I'm really just dreading it now

    Hi Guys :)

I'm new on here as well. Both my husband and I are getting banded in July, my surgery is on the 8th and his is on the 29th. I'm been reading the forums for a while (we got the process started in Jan. w/ insurance) and am so excited to get banded. I'm currently going through the 2 week preop diet. Just wanted to say hello!
