Obesity Help Lawsuit filed by Gary Viscio
She Smiles replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Rants & Raves
Gosh I just love anyone who uses "corporate veil". That's an interesting read. Good luck with your court case Plain. -
I got the tingly toes thing a fair bit when i started running as my main exercise. The blood was restricted to my toes because of my gait/the way my feet hit the ground, apparently. Getting proper running socks and VERY GOOD running shoes fixed it for me 100%.

Yeah we do! And I have tomorrow off work.....guess where I'm going tomorrow? lol.

My guess is, if I you get the $450 "human hair" Jessica ones you can dye them. A girl at my work gets russian human hair put in cos its super straight and she doesn't have to dye or straighten it too much to match her almost black coloured hair. I don't want to deal with the weave all the time though. I'd just wear it for special occasions.

I'm so glad that you are doing so well. I've been following this thread and am glad that you have come out on top! She's a silly woman. And, I commend you on having the guts to tell her husband. I am in a similar but very different situation right now seeing a friend being unfaithful to another friend and I don't know whether its my place to tell him....its so hard to take the higher road, you know? But the best of luck and wishes to you and your family in dealing with this.

Exactly. I'm gaining the moment, cos I am eating too much of the wrong thing and not doing any exercise after sustaining an injury training for a half marathon (was running upwards of 50 km a week). I'm lazy as all get out and its MY fault, not my band's. My band is still doing it's job thank goodness though. Otherwise I'd have put on twice what I have. Sometimes its not entirely right to blame external things only (ie just the band). No one deceived me on the fact that I'd have to work for the REST OF MY LIFE with this band. That its hard from time to time, but its a commitment we all make in having this surgery. If your Dr didn't tell you that, then he's not doing his job. AT ALL.

Ahhhh Plain, you're an absolute legend. That's all I have to add to this thread. -
Wow Fairy, they look great!!! I had a look at the website and couldn't find samples of the hair colours. How did you know what colour to get just from the colour names? I dye my hair daaaaark brown almost black, so I'd have no clue what colour to get.....whether dark brown would be dark enough, and black too dark lol. I'd love some though!!! I'd love more thickness to my now thin hair.

Ohhhhh hope you get some rest when you get home from work *hugs*

Ewww yuck, that would be the one time you wouldn't want your kid to be a good kid and share. I hope your son is feeling better now and that your hair is still intact!

Posting to say I don't understand why some people feel the need to write their posts this big and bright.... -
Hear, hear! Sure, this is a public forum where people are supposed to be allowed to express their opinion, but it doesn't mean it will be tolerated when people are down right mean and rude. If I am over sensitive for being offended, then I'll take that label. Its better than being completely insensitive

Oooo yeah, been there done that. It sucks the big time. A trip to the ER and a complete unfill solved it for me......Don't get me started on the weight gain though. Grrrrr. -

Thanks. It would be a mini holiday if I didn't have a massive lever arch folder of stuff to read/get across for Monday. Boo. Uh yeah, I hear you on that. SO. NOT. FUNNY. -

Must have been the night for it. I barely slept a wink due to a weird but strong aching/pain in my left shoulder and neck. I feel about 100 years old today. -

Come on out from under that cover Jacqui, you always have a lot of well thought out and intelligent wisdom to share. Others, not so much -

Thats what I thought Nanook was saying too, but I thought it was just way too out there to actually be what she was saying! -

Yes, what Chickie said. If you re-read my post, I said that by being overweight/obese, you are in a higher risk category for obesity related illnesses. I know that thin people aren't always healthy, but your odds of experiencing weight related illnesses are increased if your body has to deal with carrying any excess weight. -

Are you serious? Those sizes that are "shoved in our faces" are done so for a reason - because they are healthy!! When you are slimmer your chances of living longer and healthier increase considerably. Why would you love yourself at a weight that puts you at a higher risk for so many illnesses further down the line? Why would you not have a simple surgery to avoid getting morbidly obese so that when you are 30 or 40 or 50 you've not lived decades carrying an additional 50 or 100 pounds and your body is damaged in whatever ways as a result. Why would you not be proactive about getting a healthier life to avoid having to endure daily treatment for diabetes or go through major coronary surgery or some other ongoing obesity related treatment, for example? I know thats where I was headed preband...... My mother was banded at 5 foot 1 with less than 70 pounds to lose and has lost it all in just over a year. She is almost 60 years old now and the quality of her life has increased SO much because she can actually be active. I'm glad I live in Australia where they are starting to think about the lapband as a tool for helping to avoid the massive burden obesity related health problems put on the public health system. In the long run, being proactive about combating obesity is going to free up hospital beds and tax payers funds for other medical issues/needs. I see that a brilliant thing for this country as a whole.
