My boyfriend had a gastric band fitted about 2 years ago. He had it completely deflated about 2 months ago. He cannot keep any solid food down. a Barium Meal appears to be normal. The band has been removed cos it's far too expensive. He originally had half of the fluid removed still couldn't eat anything solid without it getting stuck. Then decided to have it completely deflated but the same problem occurs. He lives on yogurt drinks and smoothies. He stomach is flatish but by the end of the day it looks like he's swallowed a couple of beach balls which makes it very uncomfortable for him. Has anyone had the same problem. We are at our wits end.  Thanks.
