I have had two fills, I have6cc in my 11cc band and can still eat anything.I cancelled my last fill appt because I have not lost any wt. Everyday I say I'm going to diet today and I always fail just like before the band. I hope you will have better luck thanI have had.

I use the whey protien liquid Walmart has two kinds one with 26grams pro and one with 46grams protien. I also add this to very cold water. They are flavored but very sweet. They have 120 calories each.

It sure seems like your fills are very small. I have only had two fills and I'm at 6cc filled in my 11cc band. But little to no what loss to report.

Finally, A Little Restriction!
snielsen replied to Sara75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so happy to hear that I'm not the only one out there who has not lost a lot wt. These are reporting 35 or 40 pound losses. I keep thinking I'm failing at this. Right now it's just like it was before each day I think I'm going to really stick to this diet today and by the time night comes I have blown it. My surgery was April 9th and I have only lost 6pounds. Somr restriction after my second fill two weeks go but no wt loss to report. I have 6cc in my 11 cc band. -

I hear you, -
I'm with you, I had my surgery April 9th just had my second fill, now have 6cc in my 11cc band and have only lost 12 pounds. Everyday I wait to see if the scale is going to move. My second fill was one week today and not even one pound down.

Thinking I May Be In The Zone But Fighting Mind Hunger!
snielsen replied to brokenwings's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Im in the same place you are. Just had my second fill July 10th go for third August 14th. Your's was a donut mine was a loaded baked potato. I'm not sure what is going on right now. I can't seem to eat much but every time I do eat I seem to over eat then I fill up with gas. I'm sure if I'm going for my next fill , I think I'll wait and see how this turns out. I do rather like the fact that I can't eat every thing I see. Sure is hard to push the plate away when the is so good. Wish you well -

First Fill, Not Feeling Any Restriction! Is This Normal?
snielsen replied to tokiesgirl6's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so glad u asked about this as I had my first fill two weeks ago. I feel nothing, in fact I think I'm eating more. I had 4cc put in a 11cc band. -
Hi, hope are feeling better now. The meds help,I was iN pain for about 3 days never vomited but I did stay in hospital over night. Are you already home? If you are home and still feeling nautilus please call your doc and get. Some meds for it. The next 3 days are not great but you should not be vomiting or running a fever. Getting up and down is hard feels very painful. Im 4weeks out and is back to normal. I returned to work after 1week, if you could take two weeks do. Keep us posted.

Your almost there! Wishing you all the best in your recovery.
-
I have no idea what that could be but please get to the doctor and report this.

I was banded on the 9th as well, how are you doing?
-
My surgery was done at 9:30am Monday morning, I was back in my room by 1:00PM and walking the halls by 3:00PM. It wasn't until the next day that I filled with so much gas I looked 9 months preg those next two days were not so nice. Today, I am felling good again thank God. I go back to work next Tuesday. I understand that not all people have a bad recovery time and I'm sure if I were 10 to twenty years younger it would have been better but I'm 50 so heeling was a little harder for me. Good luck for all the April bandsters.

Still Not 100% Sure...
snielsen replied to kbrenner19's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You are 23, that is a great age for the lap band because you will heel fast and yes you will be pretty again. I have seen a lot of new mom's on here as I understand it they just simply unfill their bands. I am more concerned with your curent health and maybe what condition you will be in the next 5 years. Keep looking into this the answer will come to you. -
I think you have a lot time before you will have your surgery date so nothing to worry about yet. It took my 2 years to get this here. my date is one week from today talk about fear.

American In Germany Banded 1/26/26
snielsen replied to kganous's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
So can you tell me how bad is this gas everyone is talking about? Do you know if it comes into contact with the vaga (Idon't know if I'm saying that right) nerve? -
My surgery date is next monday, I have requested one week off. After reading some of these blogs it sounds like I my need more time. I have the vacation time so should I be requesting more? I'm also concerned about this reflex problem, how bad is it after surgery. I already have a refrlex issue that I did not tell my doc about, should I be concerned?
-
I agree Eiees, this site has been a great help, as the time gets closer I find myself on this site more and more it helps with the fear.
-
I must say that you make this surgery sound really bad. I'm scheduled for next Monday and just trying to prepare myself. You didn'y say how many days were you feeling so bad? Thanks for sharing
-
I agree with dee, I'm sure how bad this surgery is but you really need someone there for support. The ooner you tell someone the more time they have to ajust to it. wishing you well.
