After a battle most of my life with my weight I finally decided it was about time i did something once and for all. Unhappy about not being able to move and exercise easily, wear the clothes I would want to or enjoy life I started making enquiries. Surgery initially sounded extreme but after doing the research found that lapband surgery is not as extreme as first thought. I knew that the NHS wasn't an option due to my weight being on the cusp and there being many many larger people than me out there. I then had to weigh up the cost with the benefits. No contest! the benefits out weighed everything. By this time an inner strength appeared from the excitement that very soon I would be getting the help I needed to shed the pounds AND keep them off.I am now a week on post surgery. I have not been in any pain throughout. At most discomfort carefully managed with paracetamol for a few days. The boredom of resting up is beginning to take it's toll and I have another week of fluid diet to keep to. I am ready to get this show on the road but that is the impatient trait of my personality..................................... NO REGRETS and I cannot wait to keep this up to date with my lapband story :-)
