Chest Pain / Vomiting...please Help.
Desi999 replied to cbeterror's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The best advice I can give you, go back to your doctor, he knows best. Everone is different, I had to have some Fluid taken out as i also had pain in my chest and could not swollow my saliva. i have a 12cc band and Im 9cc full, still havent reached the green zone. Dont give up!! you can do this. Good luck -
May God be with you and your family Take care Desiree

Hi, im getting banded on 10th Feb by Dr Dolan at Joondalup hospital. I am in my 2nd week of Optifast, surprised I must say, not going too bad. I am having a shake for Breakfast, bar for lunch and Soup for dinner, jelly and broths inbetween, oh plus. two cups of veggies and one fruit. A little bit anxious about the pain part, but feeling very positive for the future. Any body out there who live in Perth, I would love to hear from you. And any body else where ever you are. Desiree

Hi Net, Sorry for the delay, think there was something wrong with this site. Anyway dont be nervous, if you really want to do this you will know. I did a lot of research once I got my date for surgery, also was scared, I know you have seen your doctor already, but jusy be straight with him tell him your concerns Remember this is a life changing desicion you are going to make......what I can see is you have quite a bit of weght to loose. I can only tell you what made me decide to do it. I have been on so many diets in my life, have lost hundreds of kilos and put back hundreds more......just couldnt keep it off. I am 58 years old very fit but some problems with arthritis, the problem comes in when you get older. I was scared for the pain, do have some, but not too bad. If you go ahead with this make sure they give you pain relief to take home. With me they didnt ny husband had to ring the hospital. The band is only a tool to help you .....you need to watch what you eat . Hope I have answered some of your questions, please keep me posted Good luck and take care Desiree

Hi all, Just another person to add to your list. Firstly let me tell you about myself....... I am a fifty eight year old female, who has pretty much the same story as many of you guys, tried soooooo many diets and have just gotten no where. I have lost hundreds of kilos, but have put on hundreds more. I have now decided to take the plunge and get some real help. My banding date is 10th Febuary, excited , but also nerveous, my main problem was how am I going to handle this mentally.......what does anybody do when you get sugar cravings? and does this go away at all OR ever. My second question is ; has anybody ever heard of total restriction on banding? Any way guys and dolls, just want to say this is a great blog and thanks for all the info and inspiration you give to us newbeys. Well done for making a choose and keep it up!
