  1. I have had a few fills and yes, they do recommed you dont eat solids (like Winks said) a few hours before the fill. I didnt feel my band tighten on the first couple of fills but felt it on the last one. Not a bad feeling though just an awareness of it actually being there.

    Happy first fill!!!

  2. Ok, the night from hell to say the least. Nothing stayed down, when I finally fell asleep I woke twice to vomiting in my mouth. And the constant girgling in my throat never stopped. At it seams this is a sign that the Tank is to full!

Just got back from the doctor. The PA removed .50 CC and I am feeling a little better.

Before this fill I only lost 1 lb in 2 weeks and from my weigh in yesterday until my weigh in today at the doc's I lost 3 grrrr.

This is a baby step process I see and shame on me for not eating everything right before the fill as I probably wouldnt have needed my second fill so soon.

Liquids for 2 days and I will behave after I am back to normal again.

  3. Have you checked out the social group June Bugs? We all were banded in June of this year and we all have had very very slow weight losses pre fill. You may want to check us out so you can see what others are experiencing at the same time as you.

Thank you I sure will check it out :)

  4. That is alot of weight in 1 month. Are you eating normal and if so did you share what you are eating with him/her? The thing that strikes me as odd is that your recently nauseous. Pregnant or problem...tell the doctor.

  5. Ahhh the start over after a fill, so not looking forward to that. First fill for me 4 weeks from my date of surgery cuz I am feeling like I can eat anything without restriction. How many fills does it take to get to that spot. Your going on number three...is that because your not feeling the fullness when you do eat?

  6. I too lost only 6 lbs. Now I am in a stall mode. My surgery was 06/15 and I am getting a fill because I feel no restriction or fullness.

If it hadent been for the great people sharing info on this site I might not have known I need a fill and it is not normal to not feel full at some point!

Special thanks to Tina and Maggs they are great bloggers!!!

  7. I don't have "binges"' date=' I do have (not lately) what I call "fat attacks" which I when I eat junk food like choc candy and can't seem to stop. You may need a fill...... or stick to these reminders:

eat protein (it keeps you fuller longer and is the greatest with weight loss)

get rid of items with simple carbs and simple sugars (they spike your blood, giving you the energy spurt that dissipates quickly and makes you tired and sluggish so you can't make it to workout)

drink water, fill up on it...pretend like it's a glass of champagne

if it doesn't come from a mother, don't eat it (stay away from processed quick to eat foods)

don't buy it!!! If it's not in the house, you can't eat it

don't be too hard on yourself, if you fall off, get back on again!!!

Bee Good to yourself and good luck!

    Great Advise :)

  8. I was told 70 to 80 grams of protein a day from the nutritionist. I bought this flavorless protein (but to me tastes like creamora) and add it to soup or yogurt to fit more in other than shakes for muscle milk.

  9. Umm...yes I have the schedule for the liquid diet but bad habits die hard. I really didnt know that was the reasoning for the liquid diet after the surgery, I was not told. And I read the phases and they all end with until you can tolerate...guess I thought I didnt need the phases if I was able to tolerate already.

Thank you for the info I will use it like I should have been now that I have a better understanding.

  10. Chocolate is like chips...sometimes you cant just eat one. On the other hand it might just satisfy you to have the ONE kiss! Much like many of us we had to have the bag before. Sometimes when you say "I cant" have it we go overboard. No man overboard's....this PMS will pass.

  11. Thank you for responding...guessing the honeymoon phase is me being able to have a slice of bread? Guess that would be since "carbs" are a no no and that I will probably getting a divorce soon. :)
