That is why I haven't told many people at all. Sometimes I feel guilty when people who struggle with their weight ask me how I lost it but then I just tell them the diet that I am on with the lap band which is exactly what you should eat when you are trying to loose weight. Good luck to you!

I am feeling good I wish I had more motivation to exercise though I think once I start back with that I will start dropping more weight I have been within the same 10 pounds for 5 months now so it is really frustrating. Everyone says I look like I have dropped weight recently but the scale isn't showing it and I'm not seeing it. Overall so so so happy I did this

I have had my band about 7 months now and I hear everyone talk about getting stuck but it sounds so much more dramatic then what I thought my getting stuck is. When I think I am stuck I get the hiccups with some pain and burp once or twice and it goes away. Is that stuck? People talk about going on liquids after that for some time but I can just start eating again and I just know to slow down and chew more. Am I getting stuck or am I experiencing sometime else?

As long as the pills aren't extended release or gel caps you can break them in half
-
I crushed a couple of Tylenol one time and I never crushed another pill! So disgusting! I just break them in half

I remember it being difficult when I had to do it for two weeks before surgery but the reasoning behind doing it (shrinking your liver to allow easier access for surgery) made me feel more motivated I guess you can say. I just got filled for the third time and the past 24 hours on clears has sucked! I so want to cheat. How long does your doc keep you on clears after a fill?

I weighed myself on friday and ding ding ding... halfway to my goal weight! Almost 3 months after surgery and I am so excited! Only 6 pounds away from Onederland Even with all these great things I have been having a rough weekend sticking to my diet... parties ext. It seems like everyone on here sticks to their diets really well am I the only one?

I have done a lot of onlibe comparisons and I am thinking about purchasing the Fitbit flex. Does anyone have it? What are your opinions on it. All input would be helpful

I took a three hour flight 1 week after my surgery and I was perfectly fine good luck!

I heard that the one is more accurate but I just know I would lose it or wash it lol.

Hi I am a single 30 year old white female newly banded in April and starting to feel good/look good and ready to get back on the market lol. I would love to meet someone who has been through the banding process so they would understand and be supportive of my diet and new lifestyle Let me know!

So I had my second fill today which brings me to a total of 4ml in my 10ml band. He almost didn't give me a fill because I lost 7 pounds in a month but I told him I think I am just outside the green zone. So I got 0.5ml in today. Really hope thats all I need because I want to feel satisfied after eating not just forcing myself to stop because of the amount I have ate. Also want to cut out my snaking at night!

Oh and I gained a pound so that sucks but hey it could have been way way more so I am still happy

Difficult time keeping to the preset diet

Just because you can eat it doesn't mean you should. Your body needs to heal. Stick to the diet your doctor ordered. Good luck to you! -
I am two months out from surgery and I hit my first goal! 50 pounds lost since the beginning of this life changing journey I feel amazing! Everyday someone tells me how amazing I am looking and that just motivates me so much more where in the past I used it as an excuse to cheat on a diet "oh I'm looking good ill reward myself with pizza and chocolate". I have even had a few people say they didnt recognize me! Next goal is to hit Onederland... Only ten pounds to go. Going to try and hit it by the fourth of July

My doc made me wait until I was on the soft diet and just told me not to drink all the time or a lot because it would stall my weight loss. I don't drink beer anymore I miss it I stick to liquor or wine but always the low calorie. -
My doc said six weeks post op

I noticed some change in the way things tasted too but it faded. I attributed it to the fact that when you are on the liquid diet you are drinking mainly sweet things so your taste buds are used to that. It will get better trust me

Awesome congrats on getting banded on tuesday! I am so happy I did it I am a nurse so I also was "trained" to eat fast or not eat at all... its still super hard to eat slow at work. I only get to start drinking Water in the afternoon so I don't drink with meals. I try and catch up at night but it is really difficult -

So I am 6 weeks post op and I followed my doctors instructions to eat slowly and small bites but after my first fill I was so affraid of getting stuck that I decided to time between bites like I have seen so many people talk about on here. geez seems like forever! I only ate about 2/3 of what I would have eaten before! So excited about it and I am really full! I just downloaded a timing app onto my phone so I can keep this up
