ok got a question we are all about 19 weeks out ..Well i am and i have lost about 20 pounds ...I know this is slow compaired to others and i know do not compaire to others ...But is anyone else in this boat with me. I feel like a loser and not in a good way. I have 2.5 in a 4cc band and i am going to go for another fill on SAturday since i can eat everything in sight right now.

My mother is in KY and is about to go to Mexico for a Band and i was wodering what you charge for a fill ? She is south Ky but i think you would be closer than going to Moultie GA . thanks Larua

ok only good things .....Well lets see since it was christmas and all i was bad .....not as bad as i was last year that is for sure ...So that is a good thing .....Lets see ...I am drinking my water and trying to eat my protine first and i just realized i NEED TO WORK OUT ....so that is my goal next week to get my booty in gear ,.....

Ok i go for my frist fill on Dec 16...WOOOHOOO :clap2: i am soo excited to feel full again i can not even tell ya ....Well i was just wondering is it me or do others feel this way .... Right now i can eat just about anything and going thru my mind is "well eat up cause come saturday you will not be eating a whole lot" Yes yes i know that the the wroge way to think ...but something or sometimes you just can not help to think that ....Now i am eating way ...way less then before the band was put on and i have lost 10 pounds ....but i just know come saturday and that fill i will be eating the 1 cup of food everyone talkes about and all so i guess i am trying to get it all in now ...Has anyone ever felt this way ....??? Or am i a freak who just loves to eat ?? :hungry: and if you did, did your mind change once you got that fill and you were eating the right protions ( heck i know if i eat too mcuh i will be sick ) not fun ....but kinda scarry thinking i can put away the food now ( which i knwo it is normal to have no restriction before the first fill and all) not sure if this makes any sense to anyone ...i am kind of rambling here i guess Laura

Tom i know what you are saying ...i got my frist fill of 2.0 cc this past weekend and i don't know i don't feel full exactally but then again do we really know what full feels like? i mean before surgery i think we went beyond full ....so anyways ..but i do get a tight feeling in my chest i think when i am one bit too many ..so i stop and it will pass in about 10 mins but then i am not hungry so i guess that is my full spot ...Today i did eat more than regular...i had a packet of tuna for brekfest ...took a hour to eat and then lunch was chicken and mushrooms and a few bites of rice but not many ...that sticks big time ......

I am in ...Just had my first fill of 2cc in a 4cc band ..And what a diffrence ...Man oh Man this is going to be a learning experience that is for sure

Man but i do get a little down when i see like you have lost 35 pounds and only was banded a few days before me and i have only lost 10..What is wronge with me why am i eating so much .....Granted i got the band cause i had no restriction at all ...I mean none ...nothing stayed in the tummy at all ....so i am eating less i guess i need to not compair myself to others and just look at the good i have right now ...Eating less and all ...and praying the fill helps .... did you get a fill yet? did you tell a difference? Well i have posted a few times on the Fill boards but i have never stoped in here to say hello.... well my name is Laura and i had my band put on Nov 3,06 in mexico..i was scared but it was all i could afford and i knew i made the right decision. See In April 04 i had RNY surgery ...only lost about 40 pounds ....well lost my insurance so could not go back and see what the deal was ..actually i just thought i was a slow loser ...Well this year i noticed i was gaining about 5 pounds a month and my eating was not changing ...so when i got new insurance i went and got scoped and found out i have a 1oz pounch but no restriction. Well the original surgern is not with that Doc anymore and the doc refused to do anything to fix this ...so i started to call other docs in Ga and no one would touch me with a 10 foot poll...I guess doc dont like to follow each other ( according to my PC) so i looked in Fl and found someone to fix me but my insurance would not cover him ...So Mexico here i come ....Went down there and talked about what my options were and then adjustable band sounded to be the best so i went for it ....So now here i am ....I am getting married in May 07 and i just want 30 pounds off but i will take more if it happends LOL but 30 would make me happy ...i just get down sometimes thinking that i thought all this was over for me 3 years ago with my RNY and here i am going thru the same crap again ( surgery, not being able to eat and all that jazz) but maybe this is finally the answer for me ...I don't know i guess only time will tell ...but i do get my first fill on Dec 16 in Ga so that is good .... Ok i have talked enough here

Later that night i am going to a Falcons game....so my question is do you think i will have issues with sitting thru a football game after a fill ? From what i gather there is no or very little pain in a fill ...so i think i can make it but figuered i would ask...i mean it is going to be about a 4 hour drive to get there and i am ready for that ...i just want to enjoy the game thanks Laura

man i have more pain from this surgery than i did with my RNY ..It is crazy ...but that left sdie pain ...is better every day but dang it needs to go find someone to bother cause i am over it ...but i guess that dang port is still healing ....Well heal man ....LOL LOL

Hey everyone ...I was banded on Nov 3 and i think i only have lost that first week and a half i was drinking everything .....but that is ok ...but what i want to know is dont you all get tired of eveyone asking you how much have you lost ...and you have to say well nothing and that is normal until you get a fill and you dont get that for 6 weeks ...i sware kinda makes you feel like a loser and not a loser in a good way =) but it is the truth ya know ..i mean i am not sealing with pain in the left side of my body for nothing i know the weight loss is right around the cornnor but i wish everyone else would remember this ... Ok just wondering if anyone else feels that way .....

I think the important thing to remember here is there is ALWAYS going to be someone that had a bad experience or did not like what they had done. nothing is 100% fore everyone. Just like i had RNY almost three years ago and it is not working for me ( kind of broke if you want) so now i am banded ....hopefully this will work for me ...But would i tell someone to not get RNY ...heck no ..that is their choice and i was one in a few that had issues ...now i would say dont use my surgon for the RNY but it was great and i dont regret haveing it done but it sucks all i have to go thru now to try to get some weight off ..... i think deep down everyone knows what is best for them .....and when you make that choice you have to take the good with the bad....nothing is 100% great .... Ok that is my two cents !!!

WOW i was banded on Nov 3 and the one thing i could not stop thinking about was MEXICAN FOOD ..and here i was in mexico haveing my surgery and my mom eating all this great food ...Well i was not as good and i think at about two and a half weeks i had to have some refried beans ..then i was good to go ....But man that chips and salsa craving just about put me over the edge ...and god bless my boyfriend soon to be husban he was eating some chips and asked if i wanted to suck on one since i cannt eat it ...IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO LAUGH WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING YOU CANNT HAVE AND HE HELLPED ME DO THAT ...but still what a butt suck on this buddie LOL LOL but it was all in fun .......

Hey there ...Well i am new here but i had RNY surgery almost three years ago and i just had a band put on ....I would say the first thing you need to do is see what is going on ...did you streech out your pouch or were you like me and my stoma was wide open ...and then you can see what is the best thing for you to have ....Since i had no restriction i think this was the best thing for me but i am kinda scard since i had a 1oz pouch to begin with and now i will have a 1/2 oz pouch once i have restriction ....but it can be done ......

Well that is good to know ...Hopefully they will be able to find mine ASAP too =) I am doing good ...Still on Soft food right now since i am waht like 2 and a half weeks out ...i just feel so bad eating carbs all the time but i know i can not try meat yet ......but i can deal with Pasta and rice LOL Well my appoiment is at 9am si i figuered i would just get up very very earlie and head on down ( the night before is my work christmas party) oh yah did you have to do anything special before you went..like no food after midnight or soemthing ?

I am going down there also ...I had my band done in Mexico and that is the closes and cheepest so off i go ...i am in Conyers were are you from >?

I went to the Fill center site and filled out aht long questionair and all ...So now do i just wait for them to call me? i dont need to talk t anyone or something ?

Let me know if you find one ..i was just banded in Mexico on Nov 3 and am looking for a fill doc since i dont have a passport to go back ( well i just sent off for one and they take your birth certific ) Laura
