    Question

For those of you that have had surgery and is losing weight what type of support under garments do you wear. I know once I start losing I will be jiggling all over. For example, Spanx, Body Magic. Something not too expensive because my size will be changing rapidly. Trying to think positive. Thanks for your help.

Hopefully everything will go well. I have been trying to chew my food longer and not drink and eat, but it is so hard. Someone please let me know how you do it correctly.:thumbup::smile:

    Today: The Gripes and Complaints

It could be the milk, if you are using that to mix the whey protein. Try lactose free milk.

    Thoughs on my mind

You can order your protein shakes on line. I ordered some from Unjury.com and I just ordered Isopure Plus (liquid) from Amazon.com. They are delivered right to your door and if you order enough you don't have to pay shipping costs. Good luck to you.

    thanks for all the support.
  14. Well 14 more days for me to go. Time is just moving so slow. My pre-op testing is next Tuesday. My doctors office told me i don't have to follow any liquid diet before surgery, just try not to have any last big dinners, which i am finding very hard not to do. I want to have all my favorite dishes that I won't be able to eat for awhile after the surgery. But I am forcing myself to cut back, chew slowly and not drink with my foods.

oh how i love those mushies!

if you have a food processor, put tuna, mayo and relish and it comes out mushy. i had that yesterday and it tasted good.

    Why so silent Jersey Bandsters??

I am from Northern N.J. I live close to the George Washington Bridge. My doctor has an office in Pompton Plains (not sure if that is central N.J.). Which is about 45 minutes from where i live. He also has an office in Paramus, that is where i go to. I am having my surgery 9/22/10. When are you having your surgery?

    I've Got My Date

Congrats. I am on Sept. 22nd. Can't wait. I am now starting to count the days down. I don't have to do the pre-op liquid diet. They told me just don't eat too much fattening foods. Which is hard to do, I want to eat all my favorite foods that i won't be able to eat after the surgery. After surgery I am on a liquid diet for 4 weeks, I hope that is not too hard.
  18. you are welcome.

  19. I have PPO. I was surprised how fast I was approved.

    I don't understand

maybe chop up the boil egg and add mayonaise and use a food processor or chopper to make sure egg is chopped up small. Then maybe you don't have to chew as much.
  21. I paid $10 (co-pay) for psych and did not need a sleep apnea test. I had a sleep apnea test a couple of years ago and they said i had sleep apnea and insurance co. paid for the machine and extras, but i could not get used to sleeping with it so it is in my closet now. Doesn't your doctors have a team of people or at least a list so that you know which doctors to use.
  22. Yes waiting is so hard. My surgery is Sept. 22. All I do when I get a chance is read these boards. Can someone please tell me how to set up a post/thread. All i figured out is how to answer a post/thread. Thanks.
  23. I have Aetna and it took 1 day for their approval. I also got a confirming letter from Aetna that my surgery will be approved. My surgery is scheduled for Sept. 22.
