My surgery date was Dec. 11,2006. I had my first fill on 1/16/2007. The Dr. who did my surgyer is Doctor Salameth of the University of Jackson, MS. I have loss 25 lbs so far, sometimes I get upset, but I know I am losing weight. I eat mostly tuna and cracker, other items are mashed pototoes, potted meat, and I drink tea and juice, now i am drinking diet coke, mostly sprite in the very small cans I get for my daughter. I had to have a different favorite, plus my thorat is hurting and the drinks help. I do drink water. Starting 1-30/2007 I am go to start keeping up with my calorie count. I do exercise a little, but hoping to start biking down the road, work my way up. I just started the cold drinks. Not drink them constantly, just for my throat right now. My weight at surgery was 289lbs 12/11/2006:think My weight after two weeks of the surgery was 274lbs. 12/16/2006:biggrin1: My weight at my first fill was 270lbs. 1-16-2007:clap2: My weight of 1-29-2007 is 265:nervous

my question is this i am now on solid foods, sometimes i feel like i eat too much, but now i am hungry and cann't eat the food because it feels tight in my esophagus, and when i finish i feel bad like i am going to throw up. i try to chew my food good. also i haven't had a fill yet, was band Dec. 11, 2006, i was worry i did something wrong or should i be worry. Also i go for my first fill on Jan. 16,2007. I lost about 17 lbs and hope this is great, i been doing small exercises, mostly tone up, like arm bell, leg motions, about 5 mins on trend mins. hey darrel, i too experience something of the kind, i have pain in my shoulders goes through my neck and arms, have a bulgeing belly hurting from gas, try to breath , it's slow thank you Paula

:think Hey ya'll! I just had my surgery five days ago. I have gas and fulliness alot and a hard time breathing, i am coughing alot, but i move around alot, i wish to sleep on my side but it maybe to soon, Everyone saids i look better and get around go. i eat a30 ml protein, then later 30ml soup, lateron pudding. then the same at lunch but if i am not hungry i don't get, i drink alot of water, alot at night while sleeping, my mouth gets dry, and i feel pregant again because my belly push up in my chest, any advice please Paula surgery12/11/06 five days into liquid diet

I am sore but hanging in there this is my thrid day, only problem i am having is gas and soreness, i am not hungry, just thirsty, but eating Jello right now, i am happy i had the surgery and know it will work, i will stick to what ever my dr says to do. banded 12/11/06 weight 289 current unknown now goal 150 or160

Hi, today was the day i started my liquid diet before surgery, my surgery is on the dec 11, 2006 , I am waiting on the insurance to approved it , I guess the doctor seems to think they will, I have umc insurance, my doctor is Dr. Salameth in jackson, ms, I wil have it at Unversity Hospital, i kept asking if my insurance is going to pay, they told me they are wait to get the paper stateing they will, but the nurse call and said they paid 70% surgeon, 70% anthesian, 100% hospital, what you think, My bmi is 49, I am 288lbs and 5'31/2" talk, have sleep apean(mild), border line diebetic, heperglyerceam( low surgar), joint pain, backpain, and heelspurs, also high blood pressure, like to hear from you all, ( ps my spelling is off sorry)

Hey everyone, I have uhc, and i am waiting to be aproved, i was call in for my pre- op , and waiting on the approver and if i am approved i will have my surgery 12/11/06 if not i will have to wait until Jan07, Please send me some support i am nervous about the insurance part, everyone seems to say uhc is the best, but i guess we'll see, my bmw is49

hey ya'll Well my insurance is with uhc and they pay 70% surgeon, 70% anthesiatology, 100% hospital stay but i am wait to hear from the insurance company to see if it approved the surgery, I am nervous too, I am praying that it pays for it and i can go ahead and have the surgery

i interest in how do a person pay for lapband surgery in US if insurance doesn't pay, will the insurance pay anything tell me what you think
