Hey Jessica, first off congrats on your date! As for my work out, I try to go to the gym as often as possible...lately its only been about 2-3 times a week but when I go I do a combination of areobic and weight training. You should check out this site Body-for-LIFE thats where I got my work out from. As for foods, I stay low carb/fat and high protein, my doctor had me do that on my 2 week pre-op diet and I lost 9lbs, so i figure with the band it'll help more too. I hope that helps.
