The 10th is 4 days before my 1st post op appointment and I will still be off from work (I work M-F anyway). I can not say 100% yes I will be there... but I will look into it and let you know for sure before hand. If I am able to make it what would you like me to bring? Its a pleasure to belong to this site and this thread!! I've updated my ''story'' and added some pics. Today (Tuesday) I am off to the Doc. for a 3 hour nutrition class on I assume what I can and cant eat after surgery and then they are doing to do an EKG, Chest Xray and Blood work. Can't believe its just around the corner!!! ~Anny

Seems we've crossed paths or been in the same place at different times alot! I grew up in Southern Cali until I was 10 years old then moved to Marysville WA Graduated class of 1996 from Marysville Pilchuck and now im here. Cheektawaga is a common place we visit usually going to the Walton Gallaria Mall. So I updated my ''story'' on here and added pictures and some info... Hello! I would LOVE a buddy or 2 or 3 or 100! Hehe. My name is Adrianne most call me Anny. I am 32 years old from Western NY between Rochester and Buffalo. My lap band surgery is in 2 weeks from today!! (06-28-2010) Im scared and excited and nervious and happy and any other emotion you could place with such a life change!! I am the mother of one. My Son just turned 15 years old!! Im excited to meet new people and share in my journey!!

I start my liquid diet June 22nd and my surgery is June 28th. I had an upper GI 3 days ago to make sure all my insides are okay. That was quicker and easyer than I had thought it would be. Im nervious but so excited. I know that this will be the best life change I could make for myself and my family. I am aware the journey will be long and I'll have my ups and downs but am up for the challange and looking forward to the possitive rewards to come!! I wish all of you June Bandsters the best Surgery ever. May it go quickly without flaw and may you heal well and happy!

Hello everyone! My name is Adrianne. I am 32 years old and from a very small country town directly between Buffalo and Rochester. I am just starting my journey. I am schedualed to have my Lap Band surgery two weeks from today ( 06-28-2010) at Rochester General. I was so excited to see this thread to see so many ''local'' people on the site!! Hello! Im a Newbie also... My doctor has instructed me to start the Protein shake diet 5 days preop. Which will be Next Tuesday (06-22-2010) I use to drink Slim Fast shakes when I dieted in the past and they dont bother me a bit so im not too worried about it. My brain just cant wrap around ''no solid food'' for 5 days. Trust me I'll post how it goes! Surgery - 06-28-2010 Wish me luck!

Hello Everyone! My name is Adrianne but most call me Anny. I just happend to stumble upon this site today while doing some research. I am 32 years old and battled with my weight all my life. This last Friday (06-11-2010) I had an upper GI so that my lap band doctor could make sure everything is okay on my insides. My lap band surgery is right around the corner! June 28th!! I hope to find many friends, support, and education here on this site. Im very excited about finding it!! Im at work at the moment...so this is short...will fill in my profile and post something more when I get home later tonight!
