i had surgery last wed. still in bit of pain & discomfort. today is first day i dont take pain meds only gas stuff. I still have a bit of shoulder pain but i had a big hernia they repaired. i know how u feel. i feel ....hmmm...can't explain. uncomfortable. a bit hungry. wish it was all behind me.

had surgery on wed. i m still in pain 2. everybody's experience is different. i am taking my pain meds every 4hrs! if they didnt think we needed them they wouldnt have given them to us!! I am just being patient and letting pain meds help!! I get up and walk and walk....drink lots of water, protein shakes, etc. :thumbup:

I was also banded on WED 6/16. Tonight I tried scrambled eggs. My doc said at day 4 I could try to introduce food slowly to see if I could handle. So far so good. I am still taking pain meds every 4 hrs. I am doing ok. I still think this is the best thing ever and cant wait to see results. I have not poopd and it is making me feel uncomfortable. My incisions are tender and do hurt. i also am looking for support. it just seems every doc/clinic has a set of rules and all are different. I just want to do right thing and not screw something up!!! :thumbup:

got banded WED. I feel ok so long as i have meds. every 4 hours I take my nausea and pain meds. i am on liquid diet. i had an atkins shake 4 bfast, soup 4 lunch and a sf popsicle. I feel ok. the incisions hurt. It's not as bad as i thought it would be but hope to be back to normal soon. i can try mushy food after day 4!! :thumbup:

got banded wed. i had a heital hernia and that was repaired. my insurance made me stay overnite at hospital. i was upset about this initially but i am so glad i did. meds were administered for pain, gas and nausea all nite. i came home yesterday at noon. pain at incisions and a bit of nausea. I am on nausea meds still and liquid pain killers. i do have to take every 4 hrs or my pain comes back. been on liquid diet. drinking atkins shakes, sf jello, sf popsicles and had cream soup. so far so good. i am drowsy and tired :thumbup:

I have surgery tomorrow! yikes! can't believe it's here!! This is second day of liquid diet. I can drink coffee and eat sf jello and broths. Hasn't been bad since only two days! I read of so many that have had to do for days!! whew! that's tough!! I am very nervous. I am also scared of anesthesia!! I worry about my children!! I have 19 month old triplets!! Please keep me in prayers! I have my anesthesia appt at 2pm. they will give me my surgery time for tomorrow!!! <biting nails>

my doc (im in Alabama) has stopped doing gastric bypass. He does only lapband now. He believes there are so many negatives to gb as opposed to lp which is reversible and there is no major intervention to major organs. Change clinics and get a 2nd opinion!! I am having lp tomorrow and would have never considered gb!! With lp they recommend waiting 18 months b4 getting preggo!!

I had a sinus infection last week. Surgery tomorrow--i called doc last week and told them and nurse told me that unless I was running fever on day of surgery there was nothing to worry about!!!

I will be banded on WED. my docs instructions so far after surgery is liquid diet 4-7 days. I can start food as early as day 4 if I can tolerate!!! Every doc is soooo different. I just started reading forum today and its amazing how different every doctor is!!! I only have 2 days of liquid diet preop!! I have been on very low card diet for a few wks though!

my doc required low carb diet for few weeks b4 surgery...and ONLY 2 days of liquid diet which i started today! so far so good but tomorrow is gonna be tough! I just made a big batch of SF jello...hope it keeps me happy tomorrow.

I am getting banded on 16 JUN...that's in 2 days....I am so nervous, scared and excited wrapped in one!!!
