Patty, what you fail to realize is....Born again is a term . Many other "faiths" accept Jesus as their savior, but don't use the term Born again. When you have a relationship with the lord the term Born again is irrelevant. Making enemies on a board, isn't helping the cause. Just show love towards others and act christian like without condemning, after all , thats what Jesus would want from you.

First off im Methodist , not that it matters on a lapband site. I did attend a Born again church for over 3 years and loved it. I do not think religious background is too important on a Lapband site . Are you simply looking to bash people? what is the end goal? aren't we here to lose weight and be supportive of one another? why does being born again make a difference in weight loss?

jingle, You and I are in the same boat !! im gonna call on Wednesday and see if they are processing it yet. What Insurance do you have? I live in Florida , but have BCBS of georgia , which doesn't have many requirements . Jennifer

Im hoping for a tentative date around August 20th. My Dr is submitting the paperwork to insurance this week coming up!!

I was told any i say any carbonated drinks cause the small new stomache to fill with gas and stretch . Hence this could work against the band and losing weight. -

This forum is to get advice , and feel as if you can vent if needed . I agree with betsy and bam bam .....people are going through possibly the biggest adjustment of their lives. Listen , help and be there for them. After all this is a forum.

I have BCBS of georgia and all i needed was a letter from my Dr. a bmi of 40 or 35 with a co-morbidity and a nutritional consult(just one) , a pysch eval and thats all!!! now i wait for approval!

good for you !!! im also in the waiting game hoping for a early august date. My Doctor is being soooo slow in writing my letter. I have everything else done but the approval!

the 6 month rule won't change ...they need to see a supervised diet for 6 months . Luckily my insurance doesn't require that.
