Well I am mom who has been fat her whole life, I have 2 boys, and have been married to my soul mate for almost 18 years now. at my highest weight I was 465.5 pounds I have lost 139 pounds on my own but my health is going down faster than my weight so my agreed it was time to do something. I just had my phys. testing this moring. I have my final 6 month doctor visit Friday. As soon as all my doctors get the information to my surgeon it is up to the insurance company.. I have done everything they wanted and more. I have done the 6 months, done the shrink thing, and instead of a 3 year history of being fat and having medical problems I am giving them amlost 20!  I had to watch my mother and father died from dieases that could have been prevented if they would have lost weight. My mother tried to have lap band done but her liver was so bad they had to stop the surgery.. After was put on insulin and the 9 other meds I have to take daily topped off with my mothers passng I knew it was time.. I refuse to put my kids through was I went through with my parents.. Most people I have talked have set a goal weight or clothing size.  I don't want to do that.. I will be happy when I am off most of my meds, when I can run up a flight of stairs, be able to take my kids to a fair and be able to ride with them. I am tired of sitting on the outside and watching life go by...I want to be a part of it. So with the grace of God everything will hurry up!! I am not a patient person and the waiting to get final approval is killing me!UPDATE: Both shrink and regular doc is a go!! Surgery Doc does not think insurance will be a problem so he is starting me on the liquid diet and shooting for July 1st.  I just pray we are not jumping the gun by not waiting! God please let them hurry and get this done! June 18th is coming fast and I would love to have surgery on my birthday!
