Inspired today to move forward. I was banded on 6/14/2010 and just have been on a journey. I have lost 14 lbs to date and for the last three days i remained the same weight which had me a bit discouraged....but i also understand that my dr gave me the ok to move from clear liqs to puree in the 2nd week cause i just was so hungry (compliant but hungry). in week 2 i do one puree meal and the rest liqs but towards the end of this week i have moved to all puree.....i will be on mashed this coming week and today i lost pt 4 lbs so i guess its not the food but what you do along with eating i am exercising 30-45 minutes i uped it from 15-minutes.....so Today was a good Day...God is good!!!

I had my surgery on 6/14 and I must say "there is a God" I wasnt in a bunch of pain but yes the liquid diet had me, not the 1, 2, 3 day but as i began to heal and things seemed a bit more normal my body said....you know you dont want that clear stuff and you sure dont want a protien shake....but I tell you "this too shall pass" when i went in for my one week apt with the dr he encouraged me to hang on if I could but if i was still feeling hungry to go ahead and advance to the purees....So I did I only spent one week on the liquid and one week on puree next week I will go to puree/soft......he gave me the option to kill the liquid and it made me feel alot better....so talk to your dr see what they say about it just giving me the option helped me....I only actually did one puree meal and the rest liquid.....You'll be alright...

hi my name is Nicole. i just got approved after going thru an 7 month process. I am glad for the process becasue it has given me time to research, ask questions, talk to people, get more information and make an informed choice to move forward. I have been looking over post and everyone has a different experience with pain, problems, etc....I have determined to pray, let Go and let God...and he will take care of the rest...this is a big step for me I have been against surgery from day one...now I am off to have the proceedure on June 14, 2010 need all the support I can get.....

That is such a great thing.....I am due to have mine done this Tuesday June 14th....few days then the journey begins....:thumbup:
