It went great, seriously did not feel ANYTHING!! I have a 10cc band and they usually put in 2cc right after surgery, the PA put in another 2 this morning but when I drank some water it was not going down that well so she took 0.5cc back out. I lost weight for about 2 weeks after my surgery but since then have lost and gained back the same 2 pounds so I am looking forward to having a little more restriction again. The PA said to be on liquids for the next 24 hours then advance as tolerated, I'm definitely going to have to be extra cautious now with taking small bites and chew, chew, chew!!!!

Just had surgery on Aug 3rd and had my first breakdown, the surgery went well but i had a lot more pain then I thought I would but the pain is getting better every day now its just everything else thats going on with my body. Im super tired all the time, im hot and then minutes later im cold, i still have trouble taking a deep breath because my port is located right underneath my left rib cage. Im having trouble getting in the required fluid intake and Im getting sick of the protein shakes already. I need to be on pureed foods yet for another week and a half and im not feeling hungry yet at all but I just miss regular food, even a salad!!! Im staying with my parent for a couple weeks after surgery and I feel like my mom is becoming too overbearing, I am ready to just go back to my own apt and take care of my self and just get some breathing room from my mom but im afraid to hurt her feelings because she had just done soo much for me. I feel like this is going to be the first of many breakdowns as I go through this process but I just hope that it is normal. Sorry this is soo long I just needed to vent to people that know what Im going through!!!

Im going august 3rd also, no pre-op diet needed for me. I am soo excited but starting to get a little nervous too, I am just ready for the surgery part of this to be over with!!

I have my surgery on tuesday :rolleyes2: My surgeon did not require a pre-op diet, and for post-op I just have to be on clear liquids for the rest of the day after surgery, then full liquids the day after that than, pureed for 2 weeks. Where do you guys go to find some good protein drinks with lots of different flavors, do they sell many in stores or do u buy them online??

So I have my surgery scheduled for August 3rd and I was lucky enough to get the first surgery scheduled for that day since my surgery is so early- at 0730 my Dr.'s nurse said that I will probably be able to go home that same day but then I talked to a nurse in the ambulatory surgery center that said I should stay that night. Those who have had the surgery how did u feel, do u think I should stay the night if i can or if im feeling pretty good go home that same day????
